Got to meet the man who started this forum topic today. A real great guy, was a pleasure to take this game off of his hands. New pin means new bottle, I'm not ready to rip into it yet but will definitely be doing some damage later.

I like a lot about that pic. Awesome game, awesome bourbon.

Edit to add the newest batch (4) is just as good as that one. Highly recommended.

Might be able to zoom later cooking tacos now

I'd had my eye on this bottle for a while and it was the first place I stopped when I got back to town after my morning trip to Madison. Was pleasantly surprised to see that they had lowered the price from $80 to $70, and they have two bottles of batch II for $65 so I'm probably gonna go back and grab one of those, and they have a bottle of the Remus Volstead Reserve that they knocked $25 off of as well. Not sure if I'm ready to drop that amount of coin on another bottle just yet, but it's kinda tempting.

Sorry boys, gotta spend some QT with the wifey. I’m getting a vibe that she’s not pleased about me taking a picture of every time I pour myself a drink haha.

Thx dawg. All we ever talk about is high school football (is our senior going to get his senior year varsity football experience that he’s been working for since age 7?) and where he’s going to college. She’s a planner and wants everything set and scheduled and gets anxious when shit’s up in the air. It’s been a rough 2020 let me tell you lol.

Really digging the Remus. High rye is always welcome here. A whole lot of flavor and a nice long finish for a 100 proof blend.

I've had this one a few times before but this time I taste a lot of carmel. I don't normally taste carmel but it seems over powering this time around.

Maybe caused by what you were drinking or eating before having the bourbon.

Found a bottle of birthday today. Shop owner was somehow convinced it was worth $600 + 10% sales tax...
Also had a bottle of ETL for $400... maybe it was a rare offering of ETL I’ll have to do my bottle research.

There is a special 100th anniversary bottle of ETL but $400 is super steep. I have seen 1 before and it was like $275 which I thought was ridiculous.

$179 plus tax, so $196 out the door. My place had 3 left if anybody needs one.

    #8450 3 years ago

For $32ish... This is not bad.
