Hey Yall,
Wanted to let you know we will be doing the bourbon secret santa again this year. Given the shipping delays and expected issues, we will start a bit early to organize, allow time for shopping, and shipping.
Same rules as last year.
1. Don't be a deadbeat santa. If you are then Don will come find you and make good with ya
2. $50 minimum bottle... honest feel like we should up this to $60 this year as prices keep going up? You can spend more, but not less. Shipping is on you/ extra. Everyone does it so cover that on your own.
3. Once you post up, then you are committed.
4. Open registration from NOW till September 30th or list is full.
5. Want in? then post your name in the below list. Copy/Paste and add your name to keep it organized. Once we get to 20 players or Sept 30th then I random draw whom your santa is (not a pair wise exchange... I try to totally randomize so nobody know who was their santa). I will organize shipping info at that time along with your preference list. DONT PM me now. That shit will be buried by the time I need to ping everyone.
6. Ship by Oct 31st at latest to allow for shipping delays (they are predicting up to 6 weeks delay in some cases come the holiday season.
7. Open your present before/by Dec25th. Open the bottle, drink some, and share a thank you to your santa so they know you got it!
NO slouches here and No complaining. Trust that your santa took it serious and tried to get you something good. This is about fun, sharing, and getting drunk!

this is the boubon thread, bourbon santa is thus the law of the land.
Exchange is for a good bottle (often local, but not required) of bourbon.
I think with distribution be as it is... good chance of finding something cool that tends to go with what your recipient likes but they cant often find for themselves.
Once we get the full list and I assign via random drawn, I will gather names, addresses, and a simple note of what your person likes. Some may say Rye or canadian whiskey is fine, but default is bourbon.

if the gift getter specifically says they like rye then that would be acceptable.
However, you should assume you will be getting a bourbon and gifting bourbon.
