Quoted from Whysnow:Grabbed the port
I think you will be happy with it I was excited to get one the other day and even more excited on Thursday when my father-in-law showed up with one as a gift for my birthday present. Matter fact I think I should go home and have one drink of one of those right now.

That Repeal Reserve looks like it might be on sale. What's the price?
I have the first one that I picked up for under $40, and it is definitely worth that. This one looks like it might be number 3?
Quoted from PinDeLaPin:whysnow wtf? You got 3 new bottles and no pics with some of those bottles cracked open yet?
Funny, as I read this post, I hear him in the other room cracking open a bottle now.
It was a total whim purchase. I have never ever heard of it. Batch 001 and from KY, 6year, 95 proof. I will always take a risk On that.
Paid off this time. So full yet so smooth.
Normally these descriptions are a bit off. This one is spot on! If you like these flavors you will like this juice!
image (resized).jpgI'm really looking forward to your opinion on the Woodinville port finished barrel. I really enjoy it I'm intrigued to see what your opinion will be though.

I’ll be honest that I rarely like anything port finished, but I am giving it a shot based on your rec

Oh damn the pressures on me now yikes!!!! I really enjoy it.
Quoted from PinDeLaPin:Hey man how much different is the flavor profile of that import full proof Blantons compared to the regular off the shelf stuff?
It’s hard to believe they’re the same whiskey. The Straight From The Barrel and to a lesser extent the Gold are full bodied complex bourbons while I find regular Blanton’s to be pretty meh. It’s fine but it just seems thin and uninteresting to me. Once you try SFTB and/or Gold the regular SiB will not suffice.

Yeah man I don't understand the big hang up on Blanton I would much rather drink regular old Buffalo Trace then the pay the 70 or $80 bucks that it goes for. I only buy it when I see it to use it to trade for people who want it so badly.

You’re having some tasty stuff there Bill
I'm in it to win it right now. Spent the day playing in the pool with the fam, then fired up the smoker and did 5 lbs of wings. Feet up chilling on the couch watching the idiot box now. Good day for sure
Quoted from Chisox:I don’t normally have more than one pour of a bottle per night but I did some real damage to this bottle of awesomeness last night. I need to get like 10 more bottles of this.
How did you get one of those cool "easy grab" stoppers?
Mine just pulls out plastic and all.. easy "reseal". LOL!
Quoted from Fulltilt:What's the drink of choice for the 4th?
I might just need some Old Grand Dad to go with the fireworks.

The 21 is no longer available. It is supposed to be the most complex and intriguing bourbon to rarely be seen. I hear it’s bottled by the VanWinkles

Interesting for sure. My grocery stores sells a 7 year bottle I think. Just curious what was the price point on each?
Quoted from TKDalumni:$600 for the 20yr
Damn! Well I am very interested to hear your review of it.
Quoted from TKDalumni:I didn’t grab it. Way above my pay grade!
Lol definitely way above mine!

I’m sure it would have tasted lovely! Never is any beverage worth $600 IMO

Oh shit at first I thought you found those and paid retail on them! I was going to say you just found a couple unicorns. I have a buddy who has a sample of some sort of Hirsch bourbon and a bottle of Little Book ch 2 for me when I see him next week, but I’ve never tried it.

Cant speak for the Hirsch, but the Little Book 2 is stellar.
Back in the saddle, boys. Start drinking again tomorrow.
@bowz, congrats on the football. That is exciting. Let us know when you want to do the tasking.
Quoted from TKDalumni:What’s retail on them? If they are some crazy unicorns, I can try to haggle a bit
I thought I remember the rye being around $129? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that 20 yr whiskey.

We can try for this weekend again. Sir Scott should be completely finished with all of his samples by now, but the rest of us should be good to go.

I’m pretty sure that is what I paid for mine.
I have Thursday and Friday off, so I am ready whenever! After the past few days, I could use a drink. I did what I needed to do, just got done washing the WT off me, purged all the bad mojo from the hellscape I had to visit, and so I am now back to regular Matt. Look forward to some good bourbon.
I’ll be in Michigan on vacation. I feel like I’m about to get the boot from the cool kids club if I miss any more of these Zooms/tastings.
Probably a pretty odd question but gonna ask the crew....
I am looking to buy a used Toro Dingo (or equivalent bobcat or Vermeer). Basically a mini skid steer that you stand on or walk behind. Ideal machine is the Dingo1000 but that may be a bit out of price range.
Anyone have any suggestions or hook ups?
I have a decent amount of landscaping to do with rock and sand moving at the old cabin and with the new addition. I have researched rentals and it would be around 1k per week which adds up quick on a project where I would need to rent many times. Thinking it is a really nice tool to have and could always sell in a year once done w the major projects.
I also need to get in to right spots, hence the need for a Dingo type machine (only 36 inch wide)
Anyone that can help with a connection or input?

I’m cool with delaying the tasting until you get back.
But as Hilton said, a lot of people have Friday off. I could do a regular zoom in Thursday if people want.
