    Quoted from boscokid:

Found this today at a local 'boutique' liquor store for $36, guy said he just got it in and only 3 bottles left. Checked online Total Wine - nada, checked PA Wine&Spirits and it looks like 1 bottle left in the state.
Thought it was fantastic at this price point and will likely go back tomorrow and get those remaining bottles.

Went back today and got the last bottle. From barrel 5963 12/17/08 curious if people are noticing any variation in quality

The winning bottle was from barrel #4976, barreled on April 7, 2008. It's single barrel, so YMMV.

Well sadly this is the last of the OWA... but wow it is such a tasty bourbon, I hope to find some more one day.

I'm down to my last 750 of the old label, holding on to that for a very special occasion or holiday-maybe a Tuesday. Good luck on your hunt.

Where did you end up finding it Fulltilt ? I had two pours of the 2018 and it might have been the best whiskey I’ve ever had.

    #561 5 years ago

Not a fan of the Willett bourbons but they do a damn good rye. Stumbled upon this at Binny’s a couple weeks ago and it’s outstanding.

What’s a solid price point on these? Don’t want to pay over inflated prices.

Stagg Jr., while tasty, is light years away from George T. Stagg. If you can find a George T. Stagg, anything under $250-300 I would consider a "reasonable". MSRP (the ultimate deal) is around $120, if I recall correctly. Stagg Jr. is around $50-80.

Nice-are we turning this into a bourbon and rye thread? Don't see much Willett Family Reserve stuff around here, so I make it a habit to snap up what I do see. I was able to pick up three of these 8 year ryes. Drank one, gifted one, and have this one still. Superb stuff, simply sublime.

Rye is acceptable per the bylaws of this thread.

I like that rye in particular.

I never found it on the shelf locally. A few stores would have some but keep it behind the counter. Even those around here like that were like finding hens teeth.

Lol! Went out tonight with my wife on our anniversary to a restaurant that had a great bourbon list (what a coincidence !) and tried the elusive EH Taylor 4 grain. I actually tried it twice. Wow! It’s one of a very few bottles where I scratch my head and think..it’s kinda worth it. Along with the 2018 Stagg and a 2015 Pappy 15yr the best I’ve ever had.

Same here. I polished off the last of old label OWA last night.

Been drinking down my stuff rather than buying new. Pricing has just gotten out of control.

Now they’re even after Very Old Barton’s!! Come on guys leave us bottom shelf folks alone...

I’m ready for everyone to go back to drinking flavored vodkas and leave bourbon alone.

Yeah-I’ve been there. Tried their samplers. That’s where I got to love Rabbit Hole.
Doc’s Smokehouse on 191st by the OTB has a crazy good bourbon selection you should check out.

Birthday bourbon. My wife picked these two up while visiting our son in VA last week for my birthday. I believe I’ve seen the Bowman Brothers on here a time or two.

If you ever want to sell the OFBB, it is the wife's favorite. I would be happy to but the vertical you have going on.
Fair warning, it will get drank

Found a single 4777 in BIL basement storage and just had a friend procure 3 bottles locally of 5531 barrel from 8-4-08. Local price has shifted up to $40.
