I know this stuff is cheap, but has anyone ever tried Buffalo Trace? Local grocery store just got a single barrel bottled up just for them. Wondering if its decent?

Yeah I think it's pretty good I can generally pick up a bottle of Buffalo Trace for about $24 around me and I generally keep two or three bottles on the shelf.
Quoted from Green-Machine:Early Times BIB on zoom Saturday?
Hey you know I'm down for that Aaron and I will be finding out about that other thing here in about an hour.

I like it a lot. I personally think it is one of the best bottles out there in it's price range. You'll pay a bit more for the store pick most likely, but if I were you I'd grab a few of them.
I will have to agree with PinDeLaPin and @beergut666. Buffalo Trace is a solid product for the price
Looks like a new EH Taylor BiB 18 YO will be dropping soon with a retail of $70. I bet this will be a hot ticket.

Wow!
Quoted from Bax1:Picked up a couple to try. Can’t beat $26 for singe barrel

I might have to go out and find a Busch's to pick up a couple. Never seen one around me. I did just find this Booker's up north over the weekend.

How is the 10 year Four Roses? Have never seen this in OH

This bottle is good but not my favorite 4R recipe. It’s a store pick that I’ve seemingly had forever with two pours out of it haha.

I’m not real familiar with 4R. I’ve had it out and about and at a friends home.
Aside from Wild Turkey, 4 Roses is my #2 distillery. The single barrels and small batch select are excellent values and the single barrel store picks almost always deliver an amazing pour, this bottle notwithstanding.
Quoted from Green-Machine:So Wild Turkey being your BFF..... what is your favorite bottle from them? One of the Masters keeper series? chisox
Oh boy. I’d rather tell you which of my kids I like better. Master’s Keeps are all outstanding. Dusty Turkey is amazing, WB Saffell was my favorite pour last year. Some of my Russell’s Reserve store picks are among the best bourbons I own. Rare Breed etc etc... My favorite walk into almost any store and grab off the shelf WT would be RR single barrel, preferably a store pick of which there are tons.

Thanks for the insight! Ive been passing on the RR all together. I guess I’ve been missing out. really enjoy the Rare Breed and have been envying the Masters Keeps. Had Kentucky Spirit recently and enjoyed it. Looking forward to trying more of their juice

Our local spot is doing a silent auction.
Local people only (sorry all)
They put up a new bottle every day and take silent bids through the end of the week. ALL funds go to different local charities.
What do you guys say is typical secondary on the following bottles and worth bidding on?
So far:
Pair of Blantons
EC18
Lot B
and this Olf FItz 13bib

The only one I would pay above retail for is the Old Fitz, and even then I'd be hard pressed to pay over $200 for it. My guess is that someone with deeper pockets than me will pay around $400 for it.

Blanton’s 160
EC18 200
Lot B 475
Old Fitz 13 275
I really like the Old Fitz. I think the Old Fitz line is better than the Van Winkels comparatively age vs age. Charity bottles tend to get ridiculous so I’d be surprised to see these change hands anywhere near these values, but you never know. Good luck dude!

Well shit I knew it was one of you 2.
Quoted from PinDeLaPin:We need to do that this Saturday night Don and you can show us those 2 new games
Did that and was too wasted to remember.. LOL!

the Fitz is the main one I am interested in.
I have not tried any other their stuff and tend to like those 12-13yr age range.
It is a wheated, correct?

It is wheated. That would be my focus as well.
Quoted from Green-Machine:Does anyone ever see Weller 12 on the shelf? I’ve never come across it in the wild.
I found one last fall but yeah, it has pretty much attained unicorn status.
