I tried to edit my post saying if you ever see Stagg Jr. in the wild it should be an instant buy, if you like barrel proof, under $80. A few of the batches were close to George T Stagg, just a bit younger and wilder (hot) on the pallette.

So I haven’t hit this bottle in looooong time. So long that I just realized that the shitty screw cap doesn’t even screw on any more. This was a total gateway bottle for me back in the day that is a bit underproofed for me now but a pretty solid wheater. This is my favorite pour for people that come over and like bourbon and want to take the next step

I had it once at a bar and it was pretty good. I was expecting an oak bomb being aged that long but the wood was pretty subdued. I like the Orphan line but it’s never blown me away. I’d buy all I could get my hands on if my wife liked it, she thinks I’m an idiot for having as much as I do haha.

You should give that Twin Temple album a listen, I think you might enjoy it. Here's another great album cover (and a great comp), this one is made out of velour, like old school black light posters.
