I'm working on a RFM and the game runs perfectly fine (well the playfield is disassembled ATM) but I noticed the two-pin connector on the Audio/reset cable is unplugged from the MB.

From an image on the IPDB I can see that it is plugged into the MB. So should it be plugged in? If so, what's the correct placement and orientation?

Here's mine:

Thanks!

Sounds good to me. Thanks, Markmon.

The first header is labeled RST.

Well, I lined the arrow on the header with an arrow on the plug for orientation. Common sense has failed me in the past, so if anyone can see how theirs is plugged in let me know. Thanks TeeJay.

I've built many computers and all motherboards come with nice manuals but this machine unfortunately for me only has schematics.

It seems strange to me that they would do it this way but I guess this isn't your normal PCI card. I am having a sinking feeling that it may have been unplugged purposefully.

I can't seem to find any make/model information anywhere on the motherboard. I really want to avoid pulling it out...

This image from pinwiki is named MediaGXboard and it looks identical to mine:

Unfortunately this board has cheap caps that are prone to fail, so I guess at some point I'll be replacing them.

The part number in my manual is 04-12604

Thank you TeeJay! This really helps. I was a little confused as to what this connector did since the machine was working fine. This machine was on the verge of failing when I got it. Everything worked but when I got it home I found a lot of rust and corrosion.

I fell in love with the gameplay right away. So I'm going all out and doing everything I can to make this machine awesome again.

Thanks
