Quoted from TronGuy:Slight tangent- where would one buy the pin2dmd currently?
Options are:
- build them yourself. There are some guides to doing this online. You do have to have them made in somewhat bulk to get past the point of it being worth it.
- in North America, the other feasible option is to find someone who makes them and get in touch with them. I highly recommend @dzorbas. Great service and a Dino is a good guy to deal with.
It’s a great invention and good value. The catch is that the end result is only as good as the color package someone has made for your game. If not, you have to color it yourself and there is a lengthy learning curve to doing it well. I’m just putting the finishing touches on Hurricane for Pin2DMD (my second game I’ve colorized - the Shadow was my first). The other DMD games I have all have good to great color packages for the games; but, TZ wasn’t finished and Tron hasn’t been done, so those have ColorDMD in them.
