I've had a PIN2DMD since early 2019 in my Lethal Weapon 3. Initially I couldn't get past the "DataEast/Sega" screen. After re-seating the ribbon cable to the MPU it did start working. I ended up with some issues that I started a thread on way back when. I eventually gave up as life got in the way. Today I'm home on a snow day and figured I'd give it a try again.

On boot up I cannot get past the "DataEast/Sega" screen again. I've re-seated every ribbon cable several times with no luck. The ribbon cables were new when I installed this in 2019. I did notice when I pull the cable to the MPU the screen will change and display the ROM info for LW3.

Is it possible that I have a bad DMD controller board? I am running older firmware on the PIN2DMD. Version 2.6.1, I believe.

Restarted the game so many times and re-seated the cables over the last day and still the same result. At this point in guessing an MPU issue or the DMD controller. Any advice is much appreciated.

In the meantime my wife and I are setting new high scores on our Batman DE, so not all is lost!

Not sure where to go with this one. I don't have an old dmd to test with anymore as it went out. I also don't know if the mpu could be the issue. Perhaps the display rom? If anyone has any thoughts or anything else I could try, it'd be greatly appreciated.
