Its very incomplete but better than nothing!
Click on Malenko's link in #99, then click the "RealPin" folder and you'll see the 2 files required for real pin.
Thanks a lot. That's yet a good start.
I've opened it in the editor but I need a license to work on it I had spare time. Won't happen anytime soon..
I thought you just needed a license to export real pin files? You can still work on it and save changes until its activated.
I misread. I don't plan on touching the files any time soon , its already been like a year other than 1 small update I did back in May.
Quoted from lucky1:Just use your pin2dmd license file to activate the editor.
Wow, didn't know.
I thought it was separated
Thanks
Got mine up and running last night, https://www.instagram.com/p/B79ui3Qniiz/. Colorization is pretty good, only a few glitches. I think I'm going to have to learn how to use the editor and see what I can do with the files.
I posted on VPU that the green background for the score caused some of the issue's / glitches. May be worth removing that and having a normal black background for the score. Would probably look better too. Please keep us posted on any updates as I have a Pin2DMD ready to install in my WCS
Quoted from KOAmps:I made an adapter that split the 12v coming from J116 to a DC/DC converter that knocked it down to 4.8v for the screen and controller.[quoted image][quoted image]
That´s the recommended way if you want to use the internal power. J116 is connected to 12V POWER rail . Never use the 5V or the 12V DIGITAL rail which are connected on the original DMD power connector on WPC machines.

Any instructions for this? I need to use mine as it is just collecting dust and wcs seems like the perfect game.
I wrote a little tutorial here: https://kevsbeer.weebly.com/pin2dmd-build.html
There's also instructions on that site for homebrewing as well if anyone's interested.
Made some progress, starting to look better. Triggering seems to be the biggest issue, have quite a few scenes coloured properly that don't activate or run well with the keyframes the way they are. The striker awards is one that's a little glitchy still. Files are here if anyone wants them, WCS94 KO 2 are the latest .fsq and .pal files. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bTzR5VGi1tsQ227WH1UpMRxam2fWEqER?usp=sharing
Also shot a little video with the changes:

Now that is how you do a tutorial! Amazing write up.
Hi Koamps ,here the is my version of ball locked scene, whit my palette, you can download it and add at your work.
I dont' know how to colorate dynamic content, but I can help you on the normal frames.

We can divide the work, and end this colorization togheter.
say to me which scene colorate.
I hope you appreciate it.
WhatsApp Image 2020-02-24 at 14.28.36 (resized).jpegtremendo cool man, glad you made the grass green in that scene. I made a little more progress this weekend, seems I was using a horribly outdated version of the editor before. Was wondering why things weren't triggering properly and was generally more difficult than it needed to be. Here's the latest files I have: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/15F5QfX8MM-i6xUO8srj1fVqNOkUsuU_k?usp=sharing
I've made the triggering for the striker awards better, as well as the coin flip which is almost optimized. I've coloured the tackle, replay and jet plane scenes a little better but haven't uploaded yet. Things I might need to still do are make some dumps for the 'what a header' animation if they aren't there already, (haven't really checked), and possibly a new dump with the free play buy-in general score screen since it doesn't seem to trigger on my machine with the files I have. Have not touched the victory lap/final match stuff at all.

I’m an idiot, see it now under point 5 on the front page. I was looking for it on the page describing the editor in the link below it. Downloaded it from Steve’s bintray originally, forget how I found that link.
Did some work last night. Had been working on it on two separate computers but it's all together now. Deleted the first google drive link I posted. Coin flips at the intro, plane to city, striker awards, tackle and replay all fixed. The ticket graphic should be fixed as well. Still lots of triggering work to do but it's coming along now. Need to record a dump to get some missing scenes as well. Latest files are the WCS94 KO 11 if anyone wants to give them a try and report back. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CqrAo7NllTPNdgw2BIzX4Irs-CWht_Sv/view?usp=sharing

Nice work. It may be a good idea to set this up on GitHub if for nothing else having backups and also a free place to host it.

It is now up on github: https://github.com/KOAmps/WCS94-Pin2dmd
Recorded a dump file from my machine and did a bunch of updates, WCS94 KO 14 are the latest files. Goal! triggers better now, but still is a little late with the brown default palette for a few frames at the start. The animations with dynamic content seem like they'll be the biggest pain. Wonder if I should just trigger individual frames with plain color mask mode or bother messing with the new layered color mask.

Awesome. I ordered the power supply people have been using and will probably put my pin2dmd into wcs.

Yes I think that you have to do frame by frame whit new layered color mask.
Quoted from tremendo:Yes I think that you have to do frame by frame whit new layered color mask.
I don´t see any reason why to use layered colormask here. Simple colormask with single frame triggering should do fine.
Just wondering if there has been any progress recently? Really looking forward to the finished version.
I’ve been picking away at it as I have time. Latest files are up in the google drive link above, version 18. Change log has the details on what I’ve done. Last thing I did was the bonus/ultra bonus fades at the end of each ball. Some overlapping key frames that aren’t playing nice but works decently.
Great Thanks. Just fitted a Pin2DMD in my World Cup Soccer and gave version 14 a go. Will update to the latest version
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help test etc.
Thanks
Version 20 is up, added most of the Boston Tea sequence and a bunch of other things. Didn't have a recording of the ball hitting the tea machine so it's not complete. Here's a list of scenes I noticed are still missing if anyone wants to make recordings:
-Penalty Kick Striker award
-The frame with number of goals that says 'tv qualified' underneath
-Scene at the end of a ball where it just says 'bonus' in big font and scrolls
-Rest of Where is Striker TV award scenes, I've got the 'nice car' and 'screamer' from twilight zone ones
-The scroll in scene for TV award 4 where is striker.
-Rest of the dog announcer scenes from TV award 4
-Boston Tea party intro where the ball hits the machine.
Let me know how it's working for everyone.
Either or is fine, whatever is easier to record. I did one big recording and probably found a few things I didn’t know I needed until later. Thanks man!
Version 21 is up. Lots of stuff added from Andy's recordings. Finished the Tea party, bonus scroll at the end is done but still pretty choppy and haven't tested the rest of the changes yet but it's getting there.
They are up now, I'll start including the vni when I do future updates. Haven't done much else lately, I've been dealing with the program not saving files properly.

I'm interested in trying the latest version, but it seems GitHub only has version #14.
Where can I find version 21 ?

Thanks, unfortunately it's not working on my Vpin. I think the .pal file might also be different for Vpin. It kind of worked when I dropped my old .pal file back in but with the wrong colours.
Sorry, thought the pal files were the same. I exported both the fsq and vni files to their own folders here and for some reason it changed the link for sharing:
