I already installed the files and tested them...I have made 2 videos, its difficult to describe what has changed
Most of the animations are blue now....
I have a problem opening the project in the editor --> could not read d:\PIN2DMD\T2\t2_lg.txt.gz to load animation
I think you already had that problem in the past.

Keyframe and Animation Changes:
GrandChampion: Adjusted the mask and added additional keyframe triggers.
GrandChampion is complete blue now, but top Marksmen is red/white as expected

HK Explode: Added an additional keyframe trigger

Score Reset: Deleted all the old stuff and redid from scratch
score doesn't change during play

Hurry Up: Color was purple, changed words to red and timer to blue
This looks good now!

DataBase: Changed from a color mask scene to a palette change

Multiball: New palette , new color mask, same keyframe trigger

That's a HUGE help as well! Video really makes it easier to see whats going on. I'm keeping this in the BETA! folder so I can test it on my machine when I get home.

1.2 changelog
Removed full path in xml file so file loads correctly in the editor
Removed “5 million” keyframe trigger (this was making everything blue)
Changed special thanks trigger keyframe
Changed FREEPLAY trigger
Removed score color mask, change to a palette swap (for now)

If you ever get " could not read d:\PIN2DMD\T2\t2_lg.txt.gz " just open the xml file in note pad and remove the file paths. This requires the files to be in the same folder as the xml file.

Adjust keyframe of Williams logo (to trigger it red)
Adjust keyframe of “special thanks” and palette to reduce flicker
Add additional keyframe trigger for freeplay to lock palette
Adjust palette , color mask, and keyframe for “Los Angeles” scene
Add 7 additional keyframe triggers for “grand champion”
Added additional keyframe trigger for “big arnie”
Added 3 additional keyframe triggers for both kick back animations
Recolor masked Multiball
Added timer to video mode palette change
Added new keyframe for “Extra Ball”
Hopefully fixed the score mask
Added the second “load the gun” scene for Super Jackpot
Added an additional key frame trigger for the “shoot again elevator” scene.

Files should be live. I'll try to work it on more tomorrow. Thanks again for the videos and feedback.

Looks good, pretty much Progress with 1.3 - great work!

Test Video:

Here are the "Bugs" with timestamp as far as I have found them:
5 Sec: Terminator 2 Judgment Day - I think the yellow part is not correct
54 Sec: characters in white, should be red?
1:06 Sec: is green correct?
1:20 Sec: Characters purple
1:40 Sec: Huntership, no fire at will, Explosion in red
1:45 Sec: Multibal Color look good but no ball Animation
2:03 Sec: The 1,2 or 3x of Jackpot are not correct
2:17 Sec: Load the gun Colors correct?
2:32 Sec: Super Jackpot Animation mixed up with normal Jackpot 1,2,3x
3:28 Sec: Hurry Up, Colors are good but time is static 30 seconds
4:30 Sec: Million in Red not blue?
4:44 Sec: Paypack Time Animation not correct, to much red here
5:14 Sec: Chase Loop 2nd Animations in red, i think White sould be correct
5:37 Sec: Bonus Looks good but after Looks not correct

I have seen my fu**ing converter has added a few seconds of Advertising at the beginning of the Video - so you have to add 2-3 sec for every bug above - sorry

That's actually a soft blue, and correct. I can change to red if you dont like it.
Huntership is going to get redone with a frame by frame match and substitution, will take a couple hours.
Multiball, I dont know why the game isnt letting me mask it the way I mask tons of other things. I'll work on this after the HK rework
not mentioned but "lock the ball" will get fixed
added the multiplier screen to my list of things to redo
Hurry up should be an easy fix. T2 doesnt like the way Ive masked other games for some reason but I have an idea for a fix
Million can be any color with a change , I left it red because blue was breaking other animations for some reason
Payback time has the same issue with masking as Multiball and the like, I will try the same fix on this one.
yeah the 2nd half of the loop isnt triggering so I'll have to figure out the alternate key frames. First part looks good though!
The bonus is using static numbers for some reason, should be an easy fix

That T1000 elevator scene looks pretty good!

I will post again when I update the BETA! folder. Thanks again for all your help with this.

new sub folder in beta named 1.35 makes it easier to revert in case these changes break anything. I have started redoing the HK "fire at will" sequence but I figured why wait for that if I can make these changes fairly quickly.

"Hurry Up" : new palette, new mask, same trigger
"Payback Time" : new palette, new mask, same trigger
Added 2 key frames for 2nd half of motorcycle Loop
Changed bonus to ColorMask Sequence instead of Mask to see if it makes a difference
1/2/3x jackpot splash screen adjusted
new score mask: should have the score in white, the word BALL in red but the ball number in white, and freeplay/credits should be red

side notes: purple @ 1:20 should be fixed with the new score mask

That leaves:
T2 intro screen "yellow issue"
if you want Schwarzenegger changed to red I can do that
HK "fire at will" to be redone (and both explosions)
Fix the Jackpot animation mix up (will probably do 1 to 1 frame replacement, its time consuming)

1.35b is me updating the HK animation , its about 1/3rd of the way done but I'll keep updating every few frames in case you want to start testing it before I finish (it'll only work for the start/end of the animation, the middle will be broken until all frames are done)

Hunter Killer WIP
Started the process of 1 to 1 keyframe to replacement frame for HK-
Crosshair animation. There are about 50 frames to do since the animation plays 1 way then plays back in reverse.
I still need to capture and color the HK exploding from the middle.
1:54 Sec: just check yourself if it's as expected, but the crosshair is there.

"Hurry Up" : new palette, new mask, same trigger
3:06 Sec: still static 30S

"Payback Time" : new palette, new mask, same trigger
5:39 Sec: is there the timer missing?

Added 2 key frames for 2nd half of motorcycle Loop
4:11 Sec: something wrong here, i think also for the first half of the motorcycle ist too red (house and trees)

Changed bonus to ColorMask Sequence instead of regular mask Mask
6:10 Sec: I Think it looks better now

1/2/3x jackpot splash screen adjusted
2:14 Sec: Looks better now, also the superjackpot is not mixed up anymore

Another shot at getting Multiball to look and act correctly
1:56 Sec: Multi-Ball Animation looks good now, only the Color is not correct

new score mask: should have the score in white, the word BALL in red but the ball number in white, and freeplay/credits should be red
1:26 Sec: purple again but during gameplay it looks good

I was afraid of breaking other stuff , hehehe. Theres definitely a palette issue going on thats breaking the score and the motorcycle loop , I'll have to have lucky1 take a look at it.

No Video to give you faster response, if you need one for a specific Scene I have already made, just ask what you need.
Here are some results:

Finished HK reanimation, still has issues
Looks much better, has small issues when moving haircross, when hitting the explosion is in red and also the multiball animation is completely red

Score adjusted *again*
Still purple and blinking at the bottom

Shoot for 3X jackpot changed to yellow
is correct now

adjusted multiball Palette
complete red now (think the red comes from the before Explosion Animation which is also red)

retrigggered motorcycle loop trying to fix red issues
Motorcycle first part is black/white now, switches in the 2nd part to red

changed masks and triggers on hurry up and payback timer
payback is complete red but the timer works now.
hurry up has not changed since last version, colors look good but only static 30 sec timer

I'll leave it up to lucky1 to figure out what Im screwing up.

Almost everything is fixed except:
the yellow in the T2 animation
the HK animation cross hair animation/explosion
Score
Multiball
both motorcycle loop animations
Hurry Up / Payback mode

If lucky can figure out why the palettes are screwed up it should fix Multiball, both motorcycle loops, and Score. So the only 2 real issues left would be Hurry Up/Payback and the HK Animations.

Yes, I think he's still on vacation..... I played a little bit with the different Beta Versions....it's strange, when loading a Project the Color palettes for specific animations are wrong, even if you correct them, save the Project and open it again they are wrong again.
Looks like the 1.0 Version does not have this problem.....so maybe something happened after v01.

Could you be more specific? Locke has done extensive testing on his machine, and I've done the same on mine and while a few issue still remain for the most part everything is functional. What are you playing on (VPIN or real machine), what rom version, what firmware on your pin2dmd, etc ?

As far as I know, the only remaining issues are Kickback animation (no Fire), Chase loop (Color), some HK explosions, and multiball not coloring correctly.

Did you reset to default values in the onscreen menu ?
2.42 is mainly for Nucleo. Use 2.41 if you have a discovery.

I would think not, as that patch has no effect on DMD output.

This is awesome!
Unfortunately I do not have a real t2 machine and am running on vpin. I also do not have real pin2dmd hardware, so running on an LCD screen.
Problem is that if I run the game directly from visual Pinball everything works great, but if I try running through Pinball x it crashes on startup. Any ideas what I could try?
Thanks so much for this awesome colorization.

I think you should better ask this question in the vpin thread because it is neither a colorization problem nor a pin2dmd problem. This colorization is not supported on dmddevice.dll from freezy for LCD.

Bit late to this one but thank you Malenko for another outstanding job. I've installed the software into a new Pin2DMD and popped it into a real T2 and the WIP Beta version has corrected the chase loop animation and kickback errors mentioned by earlier posts from the version contained in the 'Real pinball' folder. The only small error I can find is in the 'Shoot For' animation text, this is the frame with the words:

SHOOT FOR
____ JACKPOT

Which is correct for the 1x 2x 3x Jackpots as those (1x 2x 3x) values are inserted in front of the word 'Jackpot' (i.e. those multipliers are positioned lower left so the jackpot follows them). The issue is that the same the same frame appears to be used for the 'Shoot for Video Mode' and 'Shoot for Super Jackpot' animations which causes the word 'Jackpot' to appear superimposed over the words 'Video Mode' and 'Super Jackpot'.

Hope this makes sense, I have tried to go into the tool and modify this but from the look of it it's a case of the key frame triggering on those animations when it does not need to do so and I'm not clever enough to correct that.

I'll take a look. if you can grab a video, it helps more. Luckily this is a game I actually own, so its easier to test and fix stuff. Judging by your scores, you are significantly better at this game than I am.
