I know it sounds foolhardy, but I would like to transport an early-90's Williams pin in a gen' 2 Prius.

I would expect to first remove the car's passenger seat before heading out.

I would also expect to separate the backbox from the cabinet, placing it in the space left by the removed seat.

Then the lone cabinet would go in the main cargo space.

On paper there is enough room to do this, as I have measured the car and measured similar Williams pins.

Still, I'm asking you all here, in case I'm missing something critical.

Is the separation of the backbox a bad idea? Pin techs on YouTube say it's not hard; you just have to take pictures and label your connectors, etc. The game is question is T2, so it has a DMD, but it may also have more modern connectors, like those of automobile wiring harnesses.

Thanks reading my post!

I've moved many a classic Bally/Stern game in my 2011 Prius. Head barely fits in passenger seat but it fits. Any DMD pin should fit the same way. No need to remove the seat BUT I have scuff marks on my dash and my headliner from hastily stuffed games. Also visibility out the right side is damn near nothing.

I moved my Spider-Man in a SAAB 9-2X (Impreza wagon basically) with the head disconnected and the head and body both fit in the back. the head fit alongside the body. I'm guessing that might be possible in the Prius as well but I don't want to disconnect all that crap again to check.

Be forewarned though, those connectors have probably never been disconnected to you run the risk of breaking a bunch of them. Be ready to re-pin some of them.

I've personally loaded a six million dollar man into a Prius. It can be done.

Anyone ever find out if a more modern pin will fit, with the head folded, in the wagon version (Prius V)?

I have a prius c and could only fit solid states with the heads off. With fold down heads it was close but no cigar. The curves at the top is what mainly got in the way.
