Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:I'm just curious if any collectors have experience combining Pin Stadiums with mirror blades.
Is it a terrible idea? Does it create just *too* much light?
I love the look of mirror blades, but I don't recall ever seeing them combined with Pin Stadiums. Perhaps there's a good reason for that and I'm just not aware of it.
Thoughts?
Thanks.
The biggest issue is clearance. Mirror blades are very tight on my games, and putting a magnetic strip on both sides in addition would be even worse. I had DIY stadium lights on my JP Pro, with mirror blades. I routed the cabinet to accept rare earth magnets that were hidden behind the mirror blades, and each light bar had a set of rare earth magnets. They snapped on and off with an authoritative snap. It was a really slick installation, but not everyone is up to modifying the cabinet, even though it's hidden.
If the game is just slightly dark, I'd go mirror blades and maybe add a under backbox light, or a couple of spotlights. If it's really dark, go art blades and stadium.
