I’ve had a pair of pin skates for a long time and find them very valuable. Nonetheless the wheels cracked after years of usage. The company sells spare wheels but I decided to do my own swap and got wheels from Amazon from a company named Service Caster. If anyone is looking to do this in future it is a 3 inch caster with a 3/8” stem that is 1.5 inches long. Many companies make wheels that would probably work and per past posts here on Pinside people found some at the big box stores I like the change in color although in a short while they’re going to look dirty and black again. They sit a tad bit higher but did not seem to make a difference on function

    Quoted from TZBen:

my wheel cracked as well. I picked up a spare at home depot

yes, there are many places that sell these casters but in recent days I have been avoiding Home Depot for coronavirus reasons. Nonetheless, I posted this so others would have the wheel dimensions if they were inclined to some internet shopping. It somewhat finishes the posts of others on this site from years past regarding this swap. I post these things from time to time to contribute to our library of solutions. I would bet they might sell these at some office supply stores potentially too

    Quoted from pintechev:

Two other mods that I like on these:
    1. Drill additional holes to better fit the games
    2. Plastic tubing on the frame forks to stop them from coming lose during transport

I was going to put some plastic tubing on the fork that attaches to the leg to prevent any scratching. Probably do that when I finally get around to it. Have a lot of extra time lately
