Just call it "Project Pin to Somebody"...
On forums I've been involved in in the past it has been possible to setup a private area of the forum that only certain members have access to. Not sure if Pinside's forum has this capability, but that could be an option. Only people who are part of the uh... whatever we're calling it... have access to that particular part of the forum so the people involved can be kept up-to-date on the status of things while the rest of the forum is oblivious to what's going on. Keeps the nosy sort out of the loop. Just a thought.
