    Hey all,

Returned from vacation to plumbing disaster in the game room. Water from above into finished basement, slow leak but saturated ceiling which eventually fell in many places. A couple of pins sustained water damage - mainly to cabinets in the lower front and one to back box in addition. Definite swelling in the particle board. Took tons of pics and videos and started insurance process. Have good insurance and adjuster says that all property including pins are fully covered for repair or replacement cost. He also told me to start thinking about sources for value/repair estimates. Of course I thought about the rich community of pinheads out there. So if you have gone through a similar process I would love advice on working with insurance company and also if you are someone or knows someone that has given repair/value estimates for insurance purposes.

I can give more details or share pictures as time goes on but I wanted to put feelers out there asap. Thank you.

Update. Thanks all for advice. I got repair quotes from Dr Dave’s Pinball Restoration in MA. I ended up getting a good settlement, over $10k for damage which is actually more than I paid for the pins (years ago now so of course there has been pinflation). But I am more than happy. I didn’t have any special coverage for the pins, they were covered as general personal property.
