I won’t be there, my boys have a camporee so I will be there helping them earn badges.

Quoted from Da-Shaker:It had less pins, atmosphere, longer lines and a little louder because of smaller rooms. Don’t get me wrong I still had a great time and would do it again. I actually like the fact that we have an extra show to go to now. I just liked Pinagogo better.
Funny how perceptions differ. Seemed to me it had more pins and was more spacious.
I'll be at PAGG on Saturday and looking forward to meeting up with friends.
Some photos of set up. Still more to go.

Any word on a tournament this year? The Pin-Golf format has been great fun at PAGG for many years but there's no mention of a tournament here or on the main website...
Great show so far. 105 machines. 25 EM. More tomorrow and lots for sale.

I haven't heard anything about a tournament this year.

Sort for not responding before. No tournament this year.

Hey Jonnyo! Too bad about no tournament. So happy you started it many years ago and hopefully it returns next year.
Pics are looking great! Video gaming with my son tonight, but I will be there bright and early tommorrow morning and Sunday!
Looks like a great turnout of games so far.
Hope everyone has an awesome time!
Also hope the schedule works out better for me next year.

Thanks very much for the kudos! I handed over the reigns to Tom Collins a few years ago and he's done an incredible job with it.
Now that we have pictures from the show, I just converted this to a show thread so people are encouraged to post more of them when they attend!
Looking from the photos appears to be a great "little" show,
and appears to have the vibe of some the older PAGG shows from a decade or two ago,
good job at rebooting at same location but new dates,
probably work out better, as weather may be more predictable and milder in early fall.
I am sure, as time goes along, it will slowly grow to be the nice laid back show
that we all love and remember with plenty of pin variety.
Sometimes big does not always mean better.
Sorry I could not make it down this year,
as I've been very busy with much personal/family issues this year,
but plan to be there in future.
Looks indeed like the show I remember
From the beginning
Great stuff to get it on track
Bigger isn’t always better
I’ll bring some pins next year
Not to be a Debbie Downer but.. looked like maybe 1/3 of the pins compared to last years show. Almost no vendors selling, no second building of pins and when I pulled up to the fairgrounds I thought I may have come on the wrong weekend, nobody milling around outside at all. Nobody at the food vendor outside, sorry to say but sort of sad shell of its former self. I don't think many people know PAGG is still around, my kids took one look inside and didn't want to bother going in so we passed even after driving 2hrs so unless things change in the future....

If for nothing else, I would have thought you'd want some hands-on time with jjPotC while it still has unicorn status in the wild and/or some time with Deadpool Premium. The lighter attendance means less lines for the "hot" games. 105 Games for the first show after a pretty big split is pretty respectable, especially for the relatively cheap multiday price.
That said, for next year, if I were PAGG, I would dial the show back to late Sept or much earlier in Oct. Having two shows, one in the west and another in the east the following week is really rough on vendors. If they give a good 2-3 week gap (ideally closer to a month) between PAGG and Expo instead of less than a week between the end of PAGG and the start of Expo, I think they'll get even more vendor support.
I really liked the fact that PAGG was smaller this year. There was a good mix of games, short/no wait times, comfortable indoor temperature, low admission price....heck, an all around good time for a pinball enthusiast. Got to catch up with some pinbal buddies at a point in the calendar when I usually don't see this crowd. I'm really glad I went and am thankful that we still have a pinball event in Dixon.
Unfortunately i was in Seattle on business but totally support this show. From the the looks of it Don and a few others did a hell of a job to keep it going. I love the fact we have three shows in our area that’s completely different from each other and make them unique.

It was a good time! Very much felt like old school PAGG. Lots of good games, short lines, and lots of good people to talk with.

After a two hour drive, a kid looks at a show with 100 pinball machines inside, $20 all you can play, and they pass.
You sound like a fun bunch!
I came out Saturday and was only able to stay for a couple of hours before being pulled away to deal with some family issues.
Even so, the PAGG reboot gets a thumbs up from me.

Quoted from Mark66:Compared to the previous years it was a HUGE letdown on what was there to play(or not). I wanted to get parts from the vendors but it didn't look like there were any?? Hopefully they will build it back up to what it was before the split. I am not slamming the event but it is what it is - for now. Went to the Jelly Belly Factory instead. You can thumbs down all you want but WE WERE DISAPPOINTED at what was there. No need to get Butt hurt about someone's opinion, GSPF and CAX will get my attention going forward.
CAX has almost exactly 2x the pins, but at 3x the price. If PAGG moves away from Expo on the calendar a few more weeks earlier, I think they'll probably have at least 30-50% more support next year. Relaunches are always rough, and they seem to have pulled the first year of the "new" PAGG off.

Sounds like the kids had their priorities straight. My butt is fine, thank you.
PAGG '18:
It was a very nice smaller-scale pinball event.
I've been attending Pin-A-Go-Go since '02 and I've seen its changes over the years. I'm happy to report that I had plenty of fun in Dixon yesterday and I'm so glad that the lack of hype didn't keep me away. As mentioned in posts above, the pins:attendees ratio was very, very nice. The only pin with a thick line all Sunday was JJ's PotC. I was able to walk up and play so many top notch pins. I did miss the usual parts vendors and I brought home a fat stack of cash that I would have otherwise spent buying parts, etc. The temperature inside the hall was extremely pleasant.. unlike the hot May days we've come to know in the past. I wish to give a humongous shout out of thanks to all of the event organizers, volunteers and the good folks who brought their machines out to the show. Good times and I'm looking forward to attending the next PAGG show.
Cheers!

I think congratulations are due to Don and crew on amazing re-boot and season change for this event. I couldn't make it due to work. But from all the pics this looks like an amazing success.
Final numbers:
687 paid attendees — that does not include free admissions for folks bringing machines
124 pins set up and running.
Thanks to everyone for coming and helping. It was a kickback and fun show. The weather was great, the building was cool and nothing caught on fire.
And we will be doing it again next year. It will have to continue to be the same Friday thru Sunday due to venue availability. We are working on securing more vendors and looking forward to seeing you all again and we hope to see those that could not attend this year’s show in 2019.
Cheers.

Thanks for the efforts bootstrapping it after the split. 124 pins is a respectable number, for sure! That venue was MADE for an early Fall show. The cooling could never keep up with pre-summer heat, which was often substantial.
