Hey everyone I thought I would share some pics of my custom game Trilogy Brewing Co . The Playfield is a rethemed Bally Star Trek , Most of the rest of the game is completly custom . I did the artwork on the playfield by hand and airbrush using automotive paint , and automotive clearcoat . The cabinet is custom made to fit the fridge , cabinet is made of oak plywood and solid oak trim on backbox . I made the light box above tapper and apeaker LCD panels from sheet metal and painted those as well . Tap handle has a newton ball top . The game serves beer but you must earn it by getting 100,000 points . This work with an electronic vavle that opens and closes . So Once you've gotten 100,000 points an* will appear near your score on the LCD this means you've earned a beer , and when the game is over "tap open " will appear on LCD and you'll be allowed to tap a beer (or two ) valve stays open for 30 seconds . Other features of the game are music of my choice in the game , and my wifes voice is on the game doing callouts when certain shots are made , I also added a chime box for other sound . My brother in law did the programing for the sound and the LCDs .
Thanks for looking
Cheers
Doug

Are you bringing that game to the MGC?

#10 5 years ago

Seen this before on another thread. Very cool retheme. Kegarator has nothing on pinarator.

Are you the only maker of pinarators in the world??

awesome, how many hours do you have in your conversion project?

#19 5 years ago

Actually pretty classy looking game. I'd be concerned about a drunk tapping a beer and spilling it everywhere. Other than that, Rock on!!!!!

Two years , average of 20 hours a week so over 2,000 hours .

has to be a great conversation topic at parties at your house!

Please please bring this to TPF

Even small parts like this took a while to make . metal box ,painted, malted barley encased in plexiglass ,spotlights to light up tap.

The attention to detail is just outstanding!!

Just to get this straight, there are two LCD displays in the backbox on each side, and each one displays the scores for both players... why did you go for 2 displays? (to make the head symetrical?). And when a player achieves a certain score it automatically opens the tap so he can pull himself a beer?!!

A great idea and perfectly executed!!

I'll never look at Star Trek the same way again!

#33 5 years ago

played this game at the pinball life open house a few years back. awesome idea and perfectly executed. earned me an oatmeal stout while playing.

please bring this to tpf, i think you have best custom award in the bag.

Yes 2 displays to make it symetrical . The tap will open when 100,000 points is made and when the game is over "tap open" will appear on LCD, vavle will stay open for 30 seconds Which is plenty of time for the player to tap off a beer or two . If no player gets 100,000 , LCD will say "game over " and vavle will not open , pull the tap and no beer will come out .

Wow! Amazing job! Any chance you could post a video of it in action?!

I would love to bring it to TPF , but It's just not in the cards for me now . My wife and I recently had our first child (a daughter) My wife is working less and I'm working more So getting time off to do a trip like that just isn't posible for me , Sorry . It would be nice to come hang with you in Texas , You have some of the best beer related posts here .

#39 5 years ago

That is by FAR the funniest thing i have read on Pinside ever !

Bravo, Bravo !

As we talked about last year, this is sort of like a built-in limiter to make sure you don't get too drunk! Oh nuts, I can't score 100,000? Gotta keep playing and sobering up until I can again

For anyone who hasn't seen this game, it is absolutely one of the most amazing things that I have ever seen. A custom pin is one thing... a custom pin that dispenses beer but ONLY when you get a good enough score is another, and totally mind blowing.

The perfect epitome of a 'drinking game'. Nice!

That is some impressive quality craftmanship there!!! Excellent and awe-inspiring work!!

#47 5 years ago

You are an absolute genius. This is incredible.

#48 5 years ago

it is so awesome!!!

#49 5 years ago

This is brilliant.. I saw this a while back briefly but I thought it was just a retheme with a beer tap in it. I had no idea you integrated the tap INTO the game. That's just too awesome.

You have definitely earned your man-card for life, my friend.
