I went with the SoftTopper https://softopper.com/ on my 2007 Tacoma and then moved it to my 2015 Colorado.

I can fit 1 newer DMD and an old SS/EM 2 piece under the cap in bad weather.

And the couple times I've needed to pick up more/larger machines stood on-end, the top unsnaps and folds up in minutes. (no need to remove it like a hard cap)

Only downside in the past 10-12 years or so if using it on 2 different trucks, is the plastic windows get that usual "fogged over" look after one Wisconsin winter. But that's what side mirrors are for.
