Picking up a JP tomorrow, what do I need to look for?

Going to pick up a JP tomorrow. It's $1850, and about 2 miles from my house. For this price, I understand it must be in great to excellent condition. But, what are some of the areas I need to concentrate on? I will definitely run it through the system diagnostics, but what should I be on the lookout for?

Thanks

scoop wear. T-rex full movements. Shaker motor works

Make sure the T-Rex works. Not in Diags, play it. Should eat the ball, and move left/right. Look for wear around the scoop holes. Broken T-gate. There's a start for you.

Carefully check that the ramp entry isn't cracked on the left hand side. Early upper flipper shots can slam right into this side and although there is a metal protector, on mine it wasn't enough and it's cracked. Mine had water damage from condensation around the edges of the translite so although not specific to JP I'd look closely for that.

Also, relating to the t-rex advice above, test it during gameplay with the glass off but note that he only eats the ball the first and fourth times (when completing T-REX) so don't freak when he doesn't eat on the second and third times

Check the Control Room scoop by throwing the ball in there. Do it lots. If at any stage it doesn't register then you may need to replace that switch — it tends to get hammered because it's the most used shot in the game.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll post up tomorrow with or without the machine.

+1. This is a very common issue. Starting to happen on mine.

No go on the JP. Cab was all nicked up, playfield was filthy, lock on coin door had been drilled, and the studs from a coin door lock bar were there. The filth on the PF was ground in, looked like it had never been cleaned. The owner would not negotiate on the price, so it was a no-brainer for me, I left it where it sat. Did it work? I couldn't get past the condition, so I did not even plug it in. Too many other pins out there.

Glad it was only two miles from your house!

I am assuming this is the one that coinopwarehouse has?
