I picked up a Williams Grand Prix. This is my first venture into EMs.
Are there any general tips for a first timer?
So far, I know i need to rebuild the flippers and adjust the EOS switch.
The only problem I've noticed so far is that the left kick out hole doesn't always work correctly. It will score the bonus then fails to kick out the ball. It also sounds like a solenoid is trying to fire but is bound up. Triggering any other switch ends the bound up coils sound.
Haven't had a chance to print out the schematics yet.
I plan to do a full search on this site tomorrow to finds words of wisdom about EMS, but yous guys have anything important you'd like to share, I'm all ears.

Thanks in advance, this site has been an invaluable resource.

Quoted from LTG:

Before you ever adjust a leaf blade switch. Be sure the stack is screwed down tight. Or you'll be adjusting them for the rest of your life.

Thanks Lloyd!
Any tips on how to read an EM schematic? I know solid state, but don't and EM.

Quoted from frankie898:

Make sure all the fuses are the correct value/amp. And make sure the fuses and fuse clips are in good condition.
Also, play the hell out of it! EM features tend to "wake up" after alot of play, especially if the game has been sitting unplayed for a while.

Thanks Frankie... I've heard that EMs follow the use it or lose it rule.
I love the sound of an EM resetting the score reels when starting a game. Glad to have that sound in the game room.
