I am biased of course, but I think ScoreGasm is a great name for the kind of game that it is (let's call it a gentleman's bet device). Artwork is by John Youssi and I couldn't be happier with it! Mechanical action moves the balls down the center of the playfield when you load the proper holes and then hit the ScoreGasm hole. Rule set builds towards the goal of progressive scoring. There is a lot of strategy in knowing when to shoot what hole and where to play the red double scoring ball.
I agree that a good game play video needs to be made of this game, but so far I just haven't been able to fit it in. It may still happen in the future though.
All 6 musical tracks on the machine are original compositions from the composers who licensed them to us. 3 of the 6 songs were written specifically for the machine, such as the theme song *Keep Your Eye On The ScoreGasm Master". Three other songs were authorized for use by Scott Danesi (the composer).
This game also has around 50 call outs ranging from silly to sexy. At first they were all sexy, but even we began to think it was a little over the top once we heard them 4 hours a day for several months in a row.
This is a pin game. It is not a pinball machine. I understand one's urge to compare the two, but it really is apples and oranges. Pin games are *original pinball*. Pinball has progressed so far in the past 80 years that these 2 amusement devices have very little in common. Because of this there is no way to answer the question "Why buy this game instead of a used $2000 pinball machine?". If it's a pinball machine you are looking for, then the used $2000 pinball machine is for you. If you are looking for something different to your game room, then ScoreGasm just might be the ticket.
Personally, I made this machine for two reasons: 1. Because me and my friends were playing the original more than we were playing pinball machines when we were together. 2. I wanted to make a game taking no deposits, gauging no interest, and announcing no announcements. I wanted to make an amusement device and THEN sell it. Crazy, I know.
I will be the first to admit that the market for something like this is very small. We had no illusions about this going in. We also knew we most likely wouldn't break even at the end of the run; and we won't. But that's OK! It isn't always about the money. We didn't set out to dominate any market, or even be the competition to any existing amusement company.
We have 12 left to sell and then we are done with this game forever. There's 7.4 billion people in the world, so finding 12 of them should be achievable

MAYBE next year we will find something else crazy to make, but we have no commitments to anything at the moment.
