system 80B are my favorite games for installing the polk external subwoofer. I love the music from this era of Gottlieb.

#10 5 years ago

Nice game. Can't wait to play it with sound (baby was asleep). Congrats Trident

#11 5 years ago

Man, that cabinet just SCREAMS 80's. Cool score, enjoy it.

#13 5 years ago

looks so cheesy would love to play it congrats!!!!

#14 5 years ago

Nice. Never heard of that pin before. Looks pretty cool.

#15 5 years ago

Watching the YouTube video of attract mode really makes me want one...seriously

#16 5 years ago

One has been sitting on WA CL for almost a year now. If anyone else is looking for this title.
Not my game.

Congrats on the new game.

#18 5 years ago

Gotta love the 80's themed pin. Seriously nice find. If this thing was built anymore cheesy 80's styled, Marty Mcfly would bust out the backbox and punch Biff in the face.

#19 5 years ago

Congrats Trident.

Nice to have one or more pins in the collection that are not so common.
Have not seen one of those at any of the pinball expos/festivals that I've been to thus far.

#20 5 years ago

Thanks Guys it's good to see I'm not the only one that appreciates a little 80s cheese.

#21 5 years ago

Great find! I absolutely love it! That cabinet just rocks! I actually have the Heavy Metal Meltdown prototype which is equally cheesy and equally as great! As I am sure you know what I mean! That cabinet looks like my buddies neon carpet! Sweet!!!

#22 5 years ago

That is the other title the lady has posted Rock and heavy metal meltdown.

Seattle WA or Portland OR and you will see them.

OP enjoy your new game.

Hi Trident,

I wonder if you would submit your pics of your game to the IPDB (or allow me to)?

I have just added a Game Trait for this game on the IPSND.net to track frequency of the dedicated cabinet. Success in this is based on participation and will take time. Anyone can submit a serial number (ideally including a clear close-up and readable photo of the number) from a Rock Encore then identify if the game is a kit or a dedicated cabinet.

Thanks,

Jay

That translite is so 80's awful that it's great.
Nice!

#25 5 years ago

I like that back box and the upper PF. Quite cool for it's time. 86?

Here's a nice one with an alternate translite FS on Ebay $800. NOT mine.

The translite looks like it was a factory alternate, not an after market one. It's pretty cool too. What do you guys think?

Picked up a rock encore machine here in Australia a couple of years back. Cabinet was covered in black contact but underneath was the sweet confetti artwork.
Love the top flippers and target set up. Difficult to hit them in the right order.

This is the original game. Encore was a kit at first, than made a dedicated cabinet for it.

COngrats on the purchase! Last time I played/saw Rock was when it debuted at the London ATEI back in 1985 (?) IIRC it was competing against Comet as the only pins on display (a tough time for pinball!)

Nice score Trident!

If you ever interested in selling it... let me know! Love me some Rock Encore!

#34 5 years ago

That was fast, I'm still waiting for some pics I emailed of some Time Line backglass differences to be posted. I haven't had time to respond to your other email about sound similarities between QQ and GN Jay, funerals and floor refinishing are taking up all my time now. I'll respond when I get through all this stuff.

I think that one was just Rock and not Encore.

I don't recall seeing that there last year, I know it was a regular in years past...

#38 5 years ago

Dude that's cool. No call outs which was really weird, but the way the music was changing is Awesome.
I was dancing to that late 80's drum machine, ha ha
WINNER!

The Trudeau Gottlieb/Premier pins are alot of fun. Just picked up a Gold Wings - and it is very original. Lots of fun to play. Wonder why they only made a few hundred of these.....
