Found it on Craigslist yesterday. Apparently I was the first caller according to him and he held it until I got there this morning. Not sure what the Atlantis is worth but I had to pay him his asking price of $875 because of the number of calls he had gotten on it. I know the value of a pin is what ever anyone is willing to pay for it, just wondering if I did okay.

The backglass looks great, playfield is good with some grain showing, the cabinet is in good shape just stained/darkened. The gentleman has had it in his basement many years, told me the last time it was played was 20 years ago. This has the best backglass of any of my other pins, should I spray triple thick on the backglass or leave it alone? Thinking I will clean the playfield as normal with a magic eraser and alcohol then put a good coat of carnuba wax on it. I don't want to do anything do it I shouldn't. Here are a couple pics.......

Good Deal! I've been looking for a nice Atlantis for a while. Not a ton of room on the price if your looking to resale but a good deal for a collector.

Sweet grab, it'll clean up nice

When the other EM Gottlieb guys finish wiping the drool from their chins, they will respond positively.

Looks like you got a very nice example at a more than fair price.

I paid much more but really wanted it. $1600

I called when the ad was 4 hrs old as I'm looking to upgrade mine. Nice grab.

Very nice find! You did well.

#10 8 years ago

You made out well! That game is easily worth 1600. I am also glad that the seller was honest and not greedy.

Very nice indeed...and exciting for you!

Nice Grab for sure at a nice price. I would leave the Backglass alone, do not Triple Thick unless the glass is already flaking.

Got to be quick these days!

I always leave glasses 'as is' unless flaking as if they lasted this long like they are, probably best to leave alone.

Good price.

Looks really nice and the price is pretty darn good!

#16 8 years ago

You scored.

And yes, don't seal it unless it's already flaking or peeling.

#17 8 years ago

Great EM game, think you did well on it.

Thanks for the replies, feeling pretty good about my purchase. I like the advice on the backglass, I don't see any flaking so I'm going to leave it alone.

That's a great find & a great buy. Machine looks in terrific original condition.

Doh! Was wondering if someone from here grabbed it. If you wouldn't have picked it up I was second on the list

Nice grab. If you ever want to move it let me know. Cheers!

How many plays on the meter?

The credit unit needs to be reset back to 0 (when you get to it).

Very nice deal.

#24 8 years ago

Great game! I'm in the middle of restoring one myself.

Very nice deal.

42,140 plays on the meter......dumb question, how do I reset the counter?

Just be sure to keep it in a temperature / humidity controlled environment & you will be fine.

You don't!

That is part of the history and that is a good low number so do not re-set it!

They aren't meant to be reset. You'll want to keep it as it is, to help document it being a lower-play example.
