#25 11 years ago

It was not bad. I started with freeze method and 1/4 way through switched to a blow dryer.

#26 11 years ago

Wow, looks great! I'm just starting my ES restore. Hope it looks this good when I'm done.

Dose your playfield have full Mylar? Did they come from the factory with full Mylar? This is my first system 11 .

Mine doesn't have 100% mylar, more like 70% in all the high traffic areas.

Looks very nice.

Started with freeze spray but wasn't working well. I then used a hair dryer that worded great.

#31 11 years ago

I've never heard of using a blow dryer. How do you do it?

#32 11 years ago

I held the blow dry 6" away from the Mylar grabbed a corner of the Mylar heated and pulled slowly . Took 3 hours. But no paint came up At all.

What are your plans for the cabinet, touch-up or decals?

#38 11 years ago

A newly cleared play field is a freaking beautiful thing! Great job.

#39 11 years ago

Was that mylar over the entire piece of wood? Like, even the sections the ball never goes? I've never seen that before, yet it looks like that in some of your pictures. Also seems to be much thinner than average playfield mylar when it's all bunched up -- or is that just due to melting?

In any case, your PF looks fantastic!

#40 11 years ago

Looks great! I'm starting my PF reassembly phase now. These extra pics will come in handy as to post color choices

Looks like you lucked out on the inserts. Any raised or art issues?

#41 11 years ago

That is one great lookin' game, Tatman.

It was on 95% of the playfield. Under the apron 3/4 was done.

#49 11 years ago

Whoa love it so far! Great job!

#50 11 years ago

That looks just plain fantastic. Reinforces to me what rough shape mine ES pf is in. I'm not sure I'm ready to tackle an entire pf restore, but I'll need to post some pics on a separate thread to get some advice about some of the more obvious issues.
