Does anyone have a hi res pic of Playboy's cabinet front? I've been looking and can't find a good one. Lower cabinet front, straight on, no flash, hi res. Anyone have one already or could shoot one for me? THANK YOU!

Nobody has a nice Bally Playboy willing to shoot a pic of the cabinet front good enough for me to do a repaint with?

Pretty Please?

With a cherry on top?

Thank you, sir!

Yes, good pic of a very nice repaint!

Could use more, though...anyone else?

Well, I know my Rattle Can Rejuvenator projects aren't widely approved by collectors, but we can consider this a cautionary tale if need be.

You may recall my post awhile back about the bottom panel repair of my 78 playboy. Well that snowballed on me. Since the front of the cabinet had been slathered black, and I had the legs off...well, how was I supposed to resist?

Unfortunately I didn't shoot a pic of the black cabinet front...but not too hard to imagine. So being CARGPB4, naturally I shy away from exchanging currency, so I hadda come up with a way to recreate the graphics on the front of the game with no trace left on the wood.

Timerider came to my rescue and linked a very good shot of the cab front.

So I imported this pic into photoshop with a canvas size the actual size of the front of a cabinet. However, the pic was slightly skewed, so I used the Distortion feature to peg the corners of the picture to the corners of the canvas, which forced it to be actual size and square. I then highlighted 8.5 X 11" sections from each corner in and one from the center of the bottom up. So I printed 7 sheets to stitch together for a facsimile to use to somehow create a stencil.

So armed with my stitched-together life sized print of the cabinet front, I primed and painted the cabinet front white.

Then I set about tracing the pinkle and black patterns, preparing to transfer them to the cabinet front.
