The vendor area had some great products, but not many show deals IMO. The free play area was a disappointment compared to past Expos. There is no doubt that The CPM & Phoebe carried the free play area. Hats off to them for bringing solid machines that could make it thru the entire show. Many of the other free play machines just couldn't make it all the way and it was disheartening to walk in and see a large number down for the count.

The lack of show deals & free play problems made this a good show, but not a great one.

    Quoted from Borygard:

I think for the vast majority of Expo attendees, Expo ends at 5PM Saturday night. It sucks but it's true. There's nothing to do for most until 11PM and even then, most games are now gone from the free play room. Why would anyone stay? Why would anyone pay any admission for Sunday when by noon, literally everything is pretty much gone.
I don't know what, but something needs to be done so the show actually ends at 4PM Sunday as listed, not at 5PM Saturday which is reality for the past several years.

The banquet kills the free play or the free play kills the banquet. A simple solution would be to move the banquet to 4pm on Sunday or change it to a breakfast on Sunday morning.

    Quoted from BrianBannon:

Anyone bringing games should not have to run this "gauntlet" when moving games in and out of the hotel. It is hard enough hauling a game without dealing with hotel loadin/loadout issues. Mike, you can do something about this--don't let the hotel walk over the people that are bringing games.

Amen. At least have the staff clear the back aisle of all the chairs & glasses. Also, ask them to have someone ( anyone ) at the dock to operate the doors. The only staff member I saw during the show was the guy on the far end telling us we couldn't load in there.
