    Like others, a text is ok to say - hi, I'm interested. In my text I'll ask the guy to call me at their convenience but if I'm going to be spending a grand or potentially thousands on *anything* I want to speak with the person. If they sound sketchy, can't answer basic questions on the fly etc. and I get an uneasy feeling, I just move on.
