I scan the classifieds in my local newspaper each morning and send the seller a letter requesting they mail me some Polaroids of the game. After a few letters back and forth, I send Bitcoins and close the deal.

That's the texting generation we live in now unfortunately. I see a family of four sitting in a restaurant booth all texting to each other instead of talking. Very sad!!

Ha! I'd have to agree with that, but don't confuse me hating the phone for being anti-social . I'd say 99% of the time I see something I'm interested in I'm not in a place where I can drop what I'm doing to have a 20 minute phone call. If I'm at work or watching the baby, or somewhere where it's not polite or conducive to making a call, it's infinitely easier to shoot a quick message saying hey is the game still available, if so I'm interested and can come at X after I get home. It gets even more of a pain in the ass when the seller isn't there or you don't know if you're going to wake someone up or interrupt them from whatever they're doing. This way they can also respond at their own pace and I can quickly check and confirm vs. missing a call back since I'm in a meeting, etc. Not that I'd never pick up the phone but if something like that can be done via text I'd much rather go that way.

Texting is fine to start but I won't buy or sell a game until we actually talk. I've canceled deals after talking. I need to hear that your a relatively normal person.
