I just discovered that the Riviera hotel and casino has closed for good. That's too bad, as I had been visiting the PHOF extension there and playing those pins on my last several visits to Vegas. I found the area to play pins there at the Riviera was much nicer and more open than at the PHOF on Tropicana. I guess the pins have probably all gone back into storage. Bummer.

Sucks, we always stayed there because of the pins they had there to play. Hopefully they build a better hotel then the boring looking Wynn, that thing don't belong, and is boring looking from the outside.

The convention center is just expanding to cover this location...no new hotel.

Closed recently. It's a bummer. How many 24 hour pinball locations are there out there? Especially ones with a good mix of SS and EM games? It was a unique spot. The perfect place to throw money away slowly after throwing money away quickly on the strip.

Agreed.....I liked it more too. Open 24 hr., beer available, rarely crowded. Plus, you could actually get a cab when you were ready to leave!

I first play L.O.T.R there and SlugFest too!

    I'm going to miss it.

It would be great to see those machines relocated to a place such as the Orleans where they have other attractions such as bowling and theaters. It's a little off the strip, and parking's usually no problem there.

Same here. Also plenty of EMs I've only played there.

I was there in December of 2010 before PHOF took over that space. The pins were a horror show...

All the pins at the Riviera then. TOM has no DMD at all...it's missing. NBAFB won't coin up and has a bad DMD. RBION has a completely missing scoop assembly and bad DMD. Getaway actually works, but is filthy. WH2O actually plays too but has a bad DMD, missing mountains and crushed lock targets that don't work.

The Riviera hosted Herb's Fabulous Fantasies shows in '98 and '99. Both fantastic shows...so glad I went!

    So who gets the sign?

Cool, I went there in '97 and '98! I even met Slash during the first show. Great times!

The Wynn is one of the nicer hotels in Vegas, nothing boring about it or Wynn Encore.
