We are happy to announce that we are starting a group called the Philly Pinball Club! This is a new initiative to get a league going within the Philadelphia city limits and help continue to grow interest in pinball in the Philadelphia area. http://phillypinball.club

LOCATION - Every other Thursday at North Bowl in Northern Liberties.

SPRING DATES - We'll host a "meet and greet" on March 23 for people to check the place out and meet some fellow pinball players. The Spring season starts March 30, with a final tournament on May 25.

RAD PRIZES - Every member has a chance to win a vintage game at the end of the season!

MISSION - The PPC is a club for everyone. All skill levels are welcome, but we are specifically interested in finding and fostering brand new players, as well as committing to an inclusive and respectful environment. Competition is involved, but we are most focused on providing fun, camaraderie, and encouragement.

Currently it's KISS (Stern), Ghostbusters, Star Trek, and PBR Can Crusher.

Originally I had posted that we'll start on March 23, but we've spoken with North Bowl and we're going to push the league portion back a week to give us more time to get the word out and to avoid the Thursday of PAPA.

New Dates:
March 23 -> "Meet and Greet", no league competition
March 30, April 13, April 27, May 11 -> four weeks of league
May 25 -> Spring finals

The 2nd Meetup of the Philly Pinball Club is taking place on Thursday, April 13.

Depending on turnout, we'll either do Match Play or we'll do High Score on each of the four games with the chance to use a mulligan on a game you want to replay.

Hi Everyone! We wanted to announce the next iteration of the Philly Pinball Club. Here's a note from our esteemed founder Jon Long:

Friends! Winter Season is officially scheduled and we are officially taking signups at the official Barcade of Philadelphia tomorrow (January 18) at 7:30pm. Come hang and enjoy some casual flips with yer pals.

Winter Season competition will kick off next Thursday, January 25th. We're working to lock down venues ahead of time for each date this season, but until we do the venue is TBD and I'll send out a newsletter with the relevant details when the time comes (as well as post the info on Twitter/Instagram/Facebook).

We're also trying something a little different this season, based your excellent feedback. Lots of folks expressed interest in meeting more often, so this time around we're going to meet every week.

We'll still run for 8 weeks, but we're only going to play for points half of the time. The other half will be hangout nights at Barcade.

Hangout nights are designed to be a night of the week you can come out and play with the crew — no points, no hard start times, just fun. Use it to prep for the competition weeks, talk strategy with club members, or take down that GC score on Addams Family. Either way, we're aiming to make it a reliable night of the week where PPC folks can find each other for some games.

The first hangout night is tomorrow at Barcade at 7:30pm, so come on out and get some flips in!
