Quoted from jboner1058:

I’d kill for a paint booth and sprayer. I’m gonna knock it down with 1200 grit in a couple of days and see if most of the fuzz comes out, but it’s in there good. I’m not gonna paint it a fourth time. I’ve only been so anal about this head because it’s such a large flat surface that shows off every flaw, then I remember that no one will ever see it from the back to be honest

Paint booth and sprayer definitely makes it easier. I haven't read through the whole thread but I'm guessing you went with a sticker, which looks good. If you get into another resto like this I could shoot the solid color for you.

Quoted from jboner1058:

Yeah, if retrorefurbs didn’t come up with this one in late August I would have sent it to you. Honestly I’m so far over budget on this thing adding the cabinet was kind of a heart puller. Either spend more on the cab or more on the playfield and I went with the playfield.

I get it, looks good. Hey, this thread may be great promo for me when people see what it actually takes to paint a cab, lol, and that was just the basecoat! Good luck with it , looks really nice.
