Damn. Now I want a brass shooter housing
Quoted from jboner1058:Damn. Now I want a brass shooter housing
I was just gonna suggest that too and how about all the ball guides and wireforms too. It's only money but man would that look sharp. How about a small clear red plastic ball for a shooter knob?
Sorry to see the scratch, but it's probably gonna happen quite often being paint.
Quoted from jboner1058:Dammit. Scratched it
That shaft housing on the shooter rod housing looks broke on the top.
Quoted from MustangPaul:That shaft housing on the shooter rod housing looks broke on the top.
It does, but I've seen some open on the top like that before.
The cabinet looks sweet man!!! Now you're making me regret selling mine.
Quoted from Colsond3:It does, but I've seen some open on the top like that before.
Really, that's a new one on me.
Finally got a nice day so I painted the head one final time. It’s the best I can do so I’m done with that. You can still see one gash in the back that no matter how many times I filled didnt want to sand flat. Again, it’s the back of the head so no one will ever see it. One thing I should have done was drilled the hole for the topper wiring ahead of time. It’s gonna get a black grommet anyways
Quoted from jboner1058:FINALLY found a source for the impossible to find small rectangle targets.
Do they have more?
Chris
I might have to go back and hot glue the speaker mesh in place. I have a feeling this is gonna rattle.
Quoted from jboner1058:Bay Area amusements. You have to take the bracket off though. Also finished the speaker panel
That panel looks better then new. Was the original black? Maybe you could make some kind of light cover painted white inside to contain all the light in that light up center section. That would even out the light and brighten it quite a bit I would think.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:This restoration is immaculate!!
It'll be like NIB when your done with it....well without the box I guess.
Thanks. I’m trying my best. It’s funny I managed to get two other machines fixed up in the time I’ve spent just looking for parts for this one

But it's sooooo worth the time.

The red mesh looks killer....I know some people are purists, but I love when people make little custom "improvements" like that. And I would definitely glue it now...you'll probably just end up having to go back and do it later anyway.

It’s a way more tasteful “mod” than half the junk people shove into other games

I like it too.
Pretty sure whoever did board work before I got it used a blow torch. New replacement headers that are crispy going in tonight, but man this board is pretty toasty. I REALLY don’t want to drop $300 on a new one even though there are a lot of other new parts in here.

Those traces are pretty messed up and may cost more to repair then a new one. I'd bite the bullet and get a new one, probably save you a whole bunch of pain down the road.
Quoted from hawkeyexx:Here of photos of NOS decals I purchased a Pintastic this past year. I wished it was a complete set.
I’ve bought 4 “sets” to make a complete set. That stupid organ ramp chandelier decal is always missing
If you get new boards, you might want to act with caution regarding the ones from Rottondog. I'm not trying to disparage them, but I bought a power driver board from them for my POTO and after installation it started smoking and caught on fire. Well . . . sparks and smoke mostly.
Seems like some of their boards having voltage problems. I'm not expert on these boards. I'm just paraphrasing what the expert said who I had to get to come and finish my pin repair.
Looks like you are missing most of the targets. Once I’m done this I’ll have plenty of spare target decals

I’m a huge fan of Gulf pinball. His boards are pretty much like the originals. His black hole power board was so good (and well priced) I am buying nothing but his from now on. Already bought his new power supply for phantom and his playfield driver board is on my wish list for it if this one is toast

Hmmm never heard of them, looks top notch.
This side got air bubbles like crazy that simply wouldnt work themselves out. So I had to pin pop them. This was also the worst condition side of the cab and I just couldn’t get it 100% smooth since the planking was horrible. Using scratch x to polish the Mylar covering looks amazing though. Wish I would have done it to the cab before I installed everything. Oh well, can always tape it off before polishing so the polish doesn’t get in everything

Sorry to hear that.
Just ordered a bunch of white Halloween masks from China. Going to cut them up and paint them like the double mask from flyer
Big pack of Z connectors came in today. Man I am not looking forward to working on the wiring harness, but that’s my next step until the playfield comes back. Sending some parts to get powder coated this week.
I need some nylon washers and screws for the sound board (not sure if the ledocd takes out the lamp matrix buzz but better safe than sorry). Found out the hard way that the new bridges are “slightly” shorter than the old ones and I have a new hole in the back of the head :/

I hope your gonna clean that metal bb.
