Up for sale is a Phantom of the Opera Pinball machine. This is a really cool pinball machine from 1990 by DataEast. The game has some of the best sounds in pinball in my opinion.

The good:
New rubbers
Super Bands
New Ramps (upper and blow Playfield)
Full LEDs
Brand new Decals W/Extra set)
New Organ
Game stripped down to posts and cleaned, waxed.
Game plays very well.

The not so good:
Has typical wear below the flippers. The gold on this game rubs off. There are some other spots but not directly noticeable. The BG does not look that bad but does have some areas that you can notice if looking.

The game is currently on location and has been since Sunday as I ran out of room at my house for another refurbish. Selling to fund a new title. Not looking for trades at this time.

Thanks,

Tony

One of my all time fav art and sound packages. GLWS!

Damn, just played this game yesterday. Bummed to see it leave your lineup. It was my favorite game there.

#4 10 years ago

I was working a deal before I delivered it. I thought I would place it for awhile to let others enjoy before it finds a new home

#5 10 years ago

I'll get some more play time on it tomorrow. Changing the line up on a regular basis is a good. There are lot's of games I have never played. Here's hoping you get more of them!

For those of you out there that do not know Tony, deal with confidence, he is a great Pinsider. GLWS!

Thanks! I do plan on moving in different games in and out as often as I can! I will replace Phantom with my Game Show. It's personally one of my favorite games until my Eight Ball Deluxe gets here sometime in December.

Someone in the Cities buy it and then get bored with it in a year and then sell it to me. Or do you take payment plans and deliver? ha

I'm getting one of these Monday in really good shape for 2000, I wish you lived in Toronto. Anyway I'm curious is the mask on the backglass translucent or is that custom. I 've seen one where its looks like theres no mask at all. ?

What's up with the backglass? I've not seen that one before. I saw one at Allentown this year and really loved the artwork of this pin.

To answer a few posts here, there is paint on the front and back of the backglass. The mask is on the front and is typically gone if the machine was ever public. It's a pretty awesome effect when the lights behind shine through to show the face. I've seen a few in person and only one or two have had the mask intact. Oh, the one I bought from corvair61 is in great shape (aside from the missing gold and outlane wear)

WOW, it's been awhile since I've seen one. I see it has one of the mask decals I reproduced many years ago. People asked me about the hangman but I never repro'd those.

POTO was one of the few if only games that had a screening on the front of the glass. Many on route had that damaged or scratched/vandalized.

Top 5 all time pinball art package. I used to own one, and do miss it sometimes.

Do you have any more mask decals? Can you make more?

I bought a PotO many years ago and having the screen on the outside of the glass didn't feel right to me so I covered it with a very thin piece of plastic before I put it on route. Because of this, my glass mask art is intact. My playfield had two serious burn marks in the flasher inserts but back then, I located a NOS playfield so I'm set up for my restoration later.
