Hi everyone,

When I turn my POTO on, the upper display is working very bad. If the machine is longer on some of the digits are coming back, but it takes a while. This problem is for more then a couple of years now. Where should I look at? All the voltages are allright. Could it be something easy or is the display dead?

Kind regards,

Dwight

The display is outgassing. If you’re adventurous you can try to find a display glass to replace the top one. Otherwise I would suggest an LED replacement display. I’ve used X-PIN’s displays with good success and Brett honors the warranty.

Okay, thanks Crash

Looks similar symptoms on my DE Time Machine... mine was mild corrosion up by the battery holder area.
Cleaned & rebuilt the area.

I believe that would typically cause certain entire segments to appear or flicker, not the overall fading appearance he is seeing. But I could be wrong.
