Just got a mb. Phantom flip lights never work. Eddy switches register in test mode. The phantom flip lights never light, even after hitting the targets and completing mode. I reset the data in utilities and mode is activated. In Lane switch, opto and eddy all work in test.
It takes several games for the game to collect shot data from you playing to turn on the feature. That said, it's pretty much a useless feature. It doesn't really make the shots and actually gets in the way of your playing. Thing Flips on TAF works so much better. Your best bet is to just turn Phantom Flip off and forget about it.
