Ok just about to jump into a pf swap to a beautiful reproduction pf that has been clear coated. Any better alternative then the threaded nails used to hold the pop bumpers in place. I just know as I tighten up the nut the nail head is going to bubble up the clear. you do want to get it tight so the head is flush but I fears a mess with the clear. Cant I just use a #6 machine screw (heavy threads) to anchor the pop bumper? Two of the pops, the nails are behind the drop targets but the two in the middle are not. On the old pf a platter was used to minimze the head area. Suggestions?
