I've had mixed results spot clearing with Varathane as it doesn't have any toxic fumes and works fairly well although in high traffic areas, it has been known to wear a lot more quickly than auto clear.
The other alternative is to mylar patch over your touch ups.

Quoted from KingDaddy:Thinking of doing some minor touch-ups on a 1975 El Dorado PF.
My process (following Vid's guide)...
-Cleaning PF thoroughly with Rag and Naphtha - then carefully with Magic Eraser and Alcohol? (any advice on this appreciated)...
-Createx Paint matching/Frisket/Airbrush: on a few areas... looking at three colors, yellow, purple around inserts, some red (and some black); Cure with Heat Gun when correct...
-Spot Clearing - is there any advice on this. I know I should used automotive clear, my preference is to spot-apply a very thin layer with sponge brush, not spray. Don't want to depopulate PF, and don't want to turn my game room into a toxic fume hazard..
Thanks!
