I've had mixed results spot clearing with Varathane as it doesn't have any toxic fumes and works fairly well although in high traffic areas, it has been known to wear a lot more quickly than auto clear.
The other alternative is to mylar patch over your touch ups.

-Spot Clearing - is there any advice on this. I know I should used automotive clear, my preference is to spot-apply a very thin layer with sponge brush, not spray. Don't want to depopulate PF, and don't want to turn my game room into a toxic fume hazard..
