After a rough start, Pecos Pinball has been blessed these past few months. A lot of people have helped to bring these classic pinballs to the public. I thank you all. My and Hotrods Christmas gift to those of you who can make it is free pinball at Hotrods here in Tucson all day on Sunday the 23rd of December. The hours are 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Edit: Hotrods is open until 8:00 PM on Sunday.

If you have never been to Hotrods, it is a beautiful venue featuring auto restorations, NASCAR, Hotrods, of course, and lots of other big boy toys with wheels. Oh yeah, they have some pretty cool classic pinball machines there too.

Access is easy, right off I-10 at the Houghton Road exit. Go north on Houghton and take the first right past the bridge.

The following pins will be available:

Mr & Mrs Pac-Man
Harlem Globetrotters On Tour
Wizard!

And possibly, probably, more....

First come, first Pinballed!

Quoted from ImNotNorm:

Merry Christmas Pecos!

WOW! A visit from ImNotNorm and alien hybrid! That's even rarer than a visit from Santa himself! Merry Christmas to you, Hue Manatee Hybrid!

Last call for free pinball! I will be there all day from 10 AM until 7 or 8 PM. I had the hours wrong. Hotrods is open today until 8 PM.

Stop by and say hi!

I arrived at Hotrods at 10:00 AM and Buck, the manager, and Joe, the cook, were already in the process of moving pins from upstairs to be placed next to the three games in the lobby. He made some nice signs with Christmas colors and motif:

Thanks Buck! The signs looked great!

At 11:00 the first customers were coming in and playing pinball. From that moment on until 8:00 PM the games were being played about 90% of the time. At least once, all six pinball machines were being played. It was a good mix of adults and kids. I just love watching kids play their first ever game of pinball! They almost universally love pinball after a game or two.

The games held up well. Harlem Globetrotters had a broken flipper switch, temporarily fixed with duct tape. Super-Flite had a broken sling rubber ring. Not much I could do about that but turn off the game. It was at the end of the day so most customers had a crack at it before it broke.

My machines got a good workout and I got to find a few small issues that I will fix, flickering lamps, loose posts, sticky flippers and the like.

All in all, the free pinball Christmas event at Hotrods was a big success. Personally, it was a joyful experience being able to use my pinball machines to bring smiles to young and old alike. Can there be a better way to bring in a Merry Christmas than with free pinball?

Glad to hear all the work you put in to the games has paid off in a sense the games got played a fair amount and your break downs were mostly minor issues this alone should make you proud. Events like this show the true quality of your work and the games them selves also gets you some great exposure for Pecos pinball.

Keep some cable ties in the toolbox and you can keep the game going till you can return w the new ring! #operatorhacks
