Hubby and I are thinking about getting PDI or Invisiglass for all of our pinball machines. Is there one product that is decidedly better than the other? Comments?

PDI might be slightly better, but given the sale that JJP is having on Invisiglass right now, Invisiglass is the way to go imo.

Tough to argue a good sale price.

Pdi hands down regardless of the sale.

Assuming you can pick it up from Joey, you'd save on shipping costs w/ PDI glass. But the buy-2 get-1 Invisiglass promo is pretty aggressive.

    Without shipping:
    6 sheets PDI = $1,590
    6 sheets Invisiglass = $1,180

So even if shipping for Invisiglass came to $200, you're still saving $210 vs. PDI.

As for which is "better"... I prefer PDI, but everyone's eyeballs are different. And that price difference might sway how you define "better."

I live in Atlanta, and I believe PDI is located somewhere in GA, so I assume I can pick up my order, which will save me money.

Does JJP offer free shipping with the Invisiglass or is that an additional cost?

I have both. They are both great.

The video comparison above, whilst accurate, is moot under playing conditions.

Invisiglass looks OK until you have it side by side with PDI then you quickly realize it's PDI hands down.

Invisiglass looks like low reflection glass and easily get's oily looking streaks on it. PDI looks like you forgot to put the glass on the machine. Only way I would go with the Invisiglass is if it was 50% or less than the cost of PDI.

That video is the proof, PDI on the right.

Based on the video, the PDI glass edges out the Invisiglass. At least to my eyes.

    This is spot on.

I to have had games side by side as well. No comparison. As stated stated above, Pdi makes it appear as though there isn't any glass installed. It's that clear with nearly no reflection

I can't believe we are talking about $1,180 for 6 sheets of glass.

1,180 bones... that's a lot of cash for glass on a few pinball machines...probably why I've never considered getting...too afraid that I'll want more!

Have both and the Invizy has a film layer on top of the glass that can be a pain to clean off dust and fingerprints vs PDI. Going with Joey @ PDI the next time I need a sheet.

Another vote for PDI. Joey also has great customer service.

It's hard to argue with a side-by-side comparison video.

I just installed PDI glass this weekend. Awesome product!

In Germany we can buy also PDI glas. On my WOZ is invisiglas .... there is a difference !
I will not swap my WOZ glass with a PDI, but all my other machines have ! It is worth the money !!

I imagine it's cheaper for you, since it is made in Germany.

I respect JJP and have had many sheets of both. Pdi is still the better of the two.

    #20 9 years ago

My Tron has a sheet of one of these in it. How can I determine which one?

    #21 9 years ago

Look for a Jersey Jack logo.

    #22 9 years ago

PDI Glass doesn't have a bug mark or logo on the surface, and the edges are ground smooth.

Does it look like there's still a piece of glass in it? If so it's the invisiglass.
Does it look like there's no glass at all? Then it's PDI.
