+1 for Kerbal Space Program!! I'll never forget my first successful moon landing.
I know this one's been around for a while, but I just got hooked on Medieval II: Total War this past week. I never played any Total War games before, and boy have I been missing out. If you like turn-based games like Civilization or RTS games, you'll have a ball.
