It's a real thing developed in the early 80's, but it's not really aluminum - rather, an aluminum compound. The best use for it now is bullet proof glass since it can be about 1/2 the thickness of standard BPG. However, it is incredibly expensive.
Does they "plink" like an aluminum baseball bat? Seriously, I'm really curious about how they feel & play vs. the traditional plastic.
