Was there a reserve on the Gondomania cab? I was thinking about picking that one up. Did it go back to Pincades?

My 6 year old son is still bummed that I didn't bid higher on the Raven. Out of all of the machines at the show, Raven was - by far - his favorite Now he REALLY wants one.

Thanks for posting the results. I sadly did not end up buying my first pin this weekend, but playing a ton of great ones and scoring a really nice empty arcade cab for $10 is pretty sweet. Buyers and sellers all seemed really cool and laid back, wish all auctions were like that.

I wonder why the King Rock was no sale? I take it there was a reserve.

I was thinking of offering the seller $100.00 for it prior to the auction. They had "trickle down theory" pricing when it was on the show floor. The backglass had touchups that looked like a twelve year old attempted and the match lights stayed on through the game. It did not move properly either.

I was the only bidder on the King Rock, and my initial bid was $200. I believe the reserve was set at $425, and I wasn't willing to go anywhere near that price. As another posted here, the backglass was pretty rough. I did enjoy the auction and I think John did a great job!

Those three Flash machines were basically the seller cleaning out his garbage can. Pre-auction price was $250.. each or all three for $600.00 which was $300.00 too high.

John always does a great job at the auction and it's super fun. I walked in towards the end of it. That Baywatch sure looked like a pretty sweet grab at $1500 if that King Rock was $425!

What was the reserve on the bk2k playfield ?

I hope whoever picked this up is going to restore it back to a Robotron. That is all I was thinking about when I saw this game on the floor on Friday. Unfortunately, I couldn't get back on Saturday for the auction. Sounds like there were definitely deals to be had.

Hopefully this had tons of flaking as I'd be kicking myself if I missed out on a real deal there.

Does anybody know if that Paperboy that was on the floor sold? I kept eyeballing that all Friday night as well.

The paper boy was not sold. Eric didn't take it to the auction. I played it a few times, it played great !
I am sure it is still available if you are interested ?

Williams actually sold a conversion kit. I believe it was Irem's Moon Patrol. An early JAMMA style board & power supply that replaced the Williams exploding power supply IIRC.

Just wanted to thank everyone that helped out with the auction. Ron, Matt, Marcus, Ken, Phil, Mike, Pete and of course my wonderful wife SuAnn. Couldn't have done it without all of you pulling it all together. We had 80 items this year which I think is a record. I'm happy the way it went this year, much more then last year and judging from the response during the auction it looks I've been booked to do it again next year. Thanks again everyone !!

Thanks for doing the Auction! I have both bought and sold things over the years and it really adds to the show, IMO. This year bought 1 item in the auction and 3 items after the auction that did meet reserve.

I haven't been to the show in a few years, but this is the way to do it. It's much, much, much better than the old super auctions. The guys do a nice job, very clear and honest. If they 1500 for a baywatch I guess I should start bringing games down there. Todd Scott

I was there only on Friday and played a Laser Ball that day and actually kinda liked it. I don't think it had a for sale sign on it or if it did it must have been priced high enough I didn't think about it. Does anyone know if it was the same Laser Ball or if another came in on Saturday? I think from now on I will only come on Saturday. Looks like John did a great job!

It was the same Laser Ball. The owner did not decide to sell it until Saturday when a $600 price tag was posted on it

Now I'm disappointed that I could not get back to the show Sat.

Well thats too bad cause if it had been for sale friday i would have made him an offer. Not $600 but much more than he got. Oh well!

I sold the Baywatch. It was in awesome shape. I hope the gentleman who won it has a real good time with it. Pinwow, it didn't have mirrored edges, but Xavier from Rock Custom Pinball put real nice baby blue decals along it that really went well with the theme. He also did the LED's and under-cabinet lighting.

Looked real nice, just like Rodney's black sheep...... Unfortunately I didn't get time to play the Baywatch, I was occupied the whole time. I would always walk by it and see it sparkle.

400. I tried to buy it for less after the auction...no dice.

that $10 cab was mine (johnny nero) and it had coin doors, complete jamma wire harness, back door, marquee, bezel etc and it was mint. it was a very rare (only like 50 made) dedicated johnny nero (not a kitted game). i was away when it sold. $10 was just ridiculous but i hope you get good use of it. it was a buyers market indeed.

those flash pins were well worth more than what they brought. cabs were fine (not water damaged or gauged up or broken wood) (one painted back thow), 2 nice back glasses and all 3 playfields were fine. if those were in ohio at ohio show they would have brought much more. beat projects even bring money at ohio show. just different market of attendees. one coin door was bare too, who cares. they can be had off of any williams.

PS; thanks to john for taking his time to do the auction, thats who the real hero in the scenario is, esp with no fees between seller/buyer and no fees to him. having a pinball show, tournament, auction or any related so so so much is involved prior, during and after. those of you who have not taken part in any of the above have no idea.

I agree, John did a great job. I can't imagine how much work went into it.

I was looking at that for a while, but honestly it was so water-damaged that it wasn't worth the $50. Going to take a lot of work to restore and frankly not really worth it.

John is a Michigan pinball superhero: always happy to talk pins, dispense advice and his pricing is spot on fair when he sells. That he does the auction with no self serving motive is testament to his character. I've known him for a slim six years and he probably only knows me by face, but I consider him a pinball ally. One of the true "good guys" in this hobby.

Laser Ball was a great buy. Almost as good as the Big Shot for $250!

IMO Someone way overpaid for that Big shot, the cabinet was beat to death and painted white, the Back glass was roached with lots of missing paint and flaking, the playfield had several wear spots and it did not even start up !

Where I come from that was a $100.00 parts game. but to each their own, If the Buyer was happy that is all that maters.

baywatch is not a sweet grab at $1500. Your hard pressed to even sell one that looks like it just came out of the box for $1400. Most baywatches if rough are $700 and nice players are $1000-1200 tops. Mint $1300-1400, and even then it will take you 6 months to move it, I know from experience.

Must be location. I think a mint Baywatch sold for close to $3k out here.
