Yes, I'll be bringing my recently restored BLACKED OUT Centaur to PATZ for the Classic Bally row.

I can't wait for this show. It's always a great time.

    After (resized).jpgAfter (resized).jpg

Also working on logistics to get a second game to the show, and possibly a third. But not everything is worked out yet, so I can't commit those games until then.

    Quoted from lostlumberjacks:

Now that centaur is one cool looking game, post some of the side shots lease. Since I've started coaching spring sports, 5 years ago, I've kind of miss going to these events. Always fun catching up with people. Todd

I put a couple pictures in the Centaur owners thread. But if you want to see the entire thing you'll have to make it to PATZ!

    Quoted from nerbflong:

I cant wait to play this Blackout Centaur. What a great looking game!

    Thanks!

    Quoted from Tsskinne:

So me and djblouw discussed last year how great it would be for PATZ to have something a bit unique as far as the freeplay lineup goes for the show this year. In years past I know Texas Pinball Festival has had a classic stern area, as has the VFW show.
We figured we should have a Classic Bally row, looking for the latest and greatest of the Bally Solid State Era to be placed side by side in a glorious reunification effort!
If anyone is interested in joining us in this project please feel free to reach out. I will try to maintain a list of what we have committed to come at this point.
    PATZ CLASSIC BALLY ROW
    djblouw = Centaur (full restoration)
tsskinne = Harlem Globetrotters (cabinet restoration and NOS playfield with protector on it) & Flash Gordon with Hardtop if completed in time with help from mjalexan
mjalexan = possibly Medua (incredibly conditioned original)

It's been kinda quiet on the Classic Bally Row. So here's a list of games we're looking for. If you have one, please consider bringing it.

    Night Rider-- ULEKstore
    Evel Knievel
    Eight Ball
    Bobby Orr's Power Play
    Mata Hari-- 64bsstp
    Black Jack-- ULEKstore
    Strikes and spares-- galaxian
    Lost World
    Six Million Dollar Man
    Playboy-- TallGuy
    Supersonic
    Star Trek-- polyacanthus
    Paragon-- 64bsstp
    KISS
    Harlem Globetrotters-- Tsskinne
    Dolly Parton
    Future Spa
    Nitro Ground Shaker-- KevinD
    Silverball Mania-- garman411 Digimatt (possibly)
    Space Invaders
    Rolling Stones
    Mystic
    Viking-- Tsskinne
    Hotdoggin
    Skateball
    Frontier
    Xenon
    Flash Gordon-- 64bsstp Tsskinne
    Eight Ball Deluxe
    Fireball II
    Embryon
    Fathom
    Medusa-- mjalexan
    Centaur-- djblouw
    Elektra
    Vector
    Mr & Mrs Pac-man
    Spectrum
    Speakeasy-- amkoepfer
    Baby Pac-man
    BMX

Of course, any other games are welcome, but it'd be great to have a strong showing of the classic Bally's for this year's show.

    #30 5 years ago
    Quoted from amkoepfer:

I have a speakeasy, but not sure on its reliability and not sure if i can make it the whole time. Ill try though!

Sweet! Bring it. I think its been a while since a Speakeasy showed up at PATZ. Even if you can only make it for a day, please bring it.

    Quoted from Digimatt:

I have a Silverball Mania I’ll consider bringing to the classic Bally row. Depends on my schedule.

Great. Let's hope your schedule works out. Keep us updated.

    Quoted from KevinD:

I was considering bringing something different this year, but I can bring my Nitro Ground Shaker again.

I always enjoy playing NGS. It would be great if it could make it back this year to join "The Row"

    #39 5 years ago
    Quoted from ULEKstore:

Leeann and I plan on bringing Night Rider (SS) and a Black Jack (SS)

Alright! 2 more for "The Row"

I've added NR to the list, and signed you up for both. Thanks for bringing them

    #48 5 years ago
    Quoted from garman411:

I'm planning on bringing my slilverball mania.

Great news! I'll update the list.

Quoted from Mitoska:Seems like a lot of people keep their really nice games at home

Did you see the Fathom last year!? Or the Flash Gordon the year before? Or the Monster Bash before that? I think some people bring some VERY nice games to this show

    Quoted from Mitoska:

some of the nicer stuff was in the tournament area- Maybe the tournament area could have the first two hours of each day be on free play as well.. I spent $10-15 just so I could play TNA

I'm with you on this one. But I know the tournament brings in people that may not otherwise come to the show. So it all balances out.

    Quoted from Mitoska:

What games of mine would you like to see this year?

My vote goes to Hardbodies, Lost World, and Attila the Hun. In that order. These are all games you don't see too often.
And thanks for bringing Truck Stop last year. Its the only other one I've played besides mine.

    #82 5 years ago
    Quoted from polyacanthus:

I have a Bally Star Trek I could bring but need to bring Space Odyssey to sell and I only have room for one. So unless someone wants SO before the show...? Also someone bring a Dolly Parton project for me to buy!

Someone buy that space odyssey. We need to get a Bally Star Trek to the show for "The Row"

    #91 5 years ago
    Quoted from galaxian:

I am planning on bringing Royal Rumble and Bally's Strikes and Spares.

Alright!! Two games, and another classic Bally to add to the list. Thank you

    #114 5 years ago

Okay, we've got one more month until the show. We're still trying to drum up some more Classic Bally games. The goal is to have at least half of the games (20) from the list.

Here's what we still need. If you have one from 1977-1983, please bring it!

    Evel Knievel
    Eight Ball
    Bobby Orr's Power Play
    Lost World
    Six Million Dollar Man
    Playboy
    Supersonic
    KISS
    Dolly Parton
    Future Spa
    Space Invaders
    Rolling Stones
    Mystic
    Hotdoggin
    Skateball
    Frontier
    Xenon
    Eight Ball Deluxe
    Fireball II
    Embryon
    Fathom
    Elektra
    Vector
    Mr & Mrs Pac-man
    Spectrum
    Baby Pac-man
    BMX

    #118 5 years ago
    Quoted from polyacanthus:

Looks like I will bring the Star Trek. I think it's my lightest game anyway!

Great news! One more added for the classic Bally row

    #122 5 years ago
    Quoted from Dayhuff:

What about an X's and O's ? I might be able to bring one if it's still here by then.
    John

We'll give X's and O's an admission pass to the row even though it's Bally/Midway, since it does pretty much have the same boardset.

    #126 5 years ago

    4 weeks until the show.

Here's some more incentive to bring a game for the classic Bally row: You'll receive a t-shirt as a "thank you"

Please let me know soon if you're planning to bring a game (and I haven't already contacted you), so that we can have the shirts ready before the show.

    #129 5 years ago

Last call to get a FREE shirt. All you have to do is bring a (working) classic Bally game (1977-1983), and let me know what you're bringing before the end of today (4/1)

I’ll be bringing a Stern Wild Fyre that will be for sale.

Although, I’d much rather trade for a project classic Bally.

Three loaded up. Picking up one more on the way down.

If you haven't received your Bally Row t-shirt yet, please seek me out today. I'll be wearing a red CENTAUR shirt.

Thanks to everyone that has brought a game. Today should be another great day.

Wow. What a turn out for this year's show. Thank you to everyone that came out. Thank you to Alex & Kevin for putting on a great event. Thank you to all the vendors. Thank you to John Dayhuff (and crew) for running the auction. Thank you to everyone that brought a game to share.

And a great big THANK YOU to everyone that brought a game for the Bally Row. We ended up with 21 games (19 unique titles)! It was great to have all these games together at one time & place.

And thank you to everyone for the nice comments on my Centaur. It felt good to be recognized with Best of Show. This is the second year in a row I've received this award, and it means a lot. Thank you!

    Quoted from cletus:

Plus, I brought a game for the first time ever to PATZ. Sharing a game that you’re proud of makes the show so much better. I can’t recommend the experience enough.

Man, that F-14 was amazing. You did a great job.

That was a contender for best of show. I wouldn’t have been surprised if it had won.

I can’t wait to see what you do next.
