    Quoted from dhard:

Saterdayhuff shares his entire collection the first saterday in November just up the road from patz

Actually I used to have a open house the day before the zoo show each year. It started out slow over the years but it was growing to about 60 people in the 5-6 hours we were open. Then about 5-6 years ago when the Zoo show went to a three day show it seems that people couldn't take off work that long and it basically killed the party and the numbers were back down to like maybe 5 people showing up. SuAnn and I tried to keep it going for several years after that but it turned out to be way to much work for the amount of people we were getting so we totally ended it about three years ago.

As for the November party this year....? We'll see how we feel about keeping that going since it's grown so much over the years and hosting a party for 200 people is a huge expense and sucks the life out of us each year as it's a lot of work that starts months ahead of time.......but we'll see.

Anyways, enough about me lets get back to the regularly scheduled Zoo show....

    Quoted from Tsskinne:

Yep and he has an amazing collection, it is awesome how John opens his doors to the community, but sharing it with the public as well as the pinball community at a show like this is even better. (Not implying anyone with a collection like that should bring a entire load of games), but if everyone with a collection can bring one or two it will make for an amazing show.

Thanks Tommy!! I'd like to bring games from the collection, especially the rare ones but I already bring TONS of stuff to sell including games if I have anything left by that time. If you guys buy me out of all my parts then I'll be sure to bring some rarities next year....I promise!!

Selling off a bunch of project pin ball machines that I'll never get around to doing anything with. My loss is your gain. I've been in the pinball hobby for the last 21 years and I know my way around the games pretty good so if you have any questions let me know. Consider these non working or tested unless noted. They are all projects to varying degrees and each one will need to be cleaned and new rubbers/bulbs etc... and possibly some board work. All come complete with legs and even sometimes the manuals to go with them if I have it. Only the games in this listing are available, regardless of what other ones you see in the pictures.

    Airport--$200
Old Chicago--$500, a real project and not for the light hearted.
Playboy 35th--$600 also have a brand new Rottendog CPU board for another $300, game is mostly shopped out....
    Gun Club, 1941 Genco--$400
Eight Ball Champ, working with a couple of minor issues--$1000
    Circus, Bally--$300
    Liberty Bell--$400
Hang Glider--$250 and I have another playfield for this game for an extra $100
    Showboat--$400
    Space Odyssey--$400
Aquarius--$325, pictures show it somewhat incomplete but I have everything
    Pot O' Gold--$250
Pacman/Galaga upright video game, 20th Anniversary home edition also not working--$300
Medieval Madness--$800, cabinet and translight etc...but no boards or playfield.
Jungle Lord cabinet and backglass only--$150
Ted Nugent head--$40 with no boards or backglass.

I can bring any of these to the Zoo show if you send me a deposit but I cannot ship these games. Pictures upon serious request.
    Thanks,

I'll see what else I can dig up in the next few weeks as well.

    Quoted from harmon1728:

    Hey SirScott!
What he is referring to is the fact that starting this year Kevin is taking a step down from his usual role. He is still helping run it and organize it, I'm just taking over most of the duties/responsibilities with the show. PATZ as a whole is staying mainly the same and the hope is people won't even notice the new change of power. I've been involved in the tournament side of the show for the last 3 years and am excited for the future!
If you have any questions please let me know.
Have to say I'm very excited to see the new Alice Cooper machine at the show after the footage from TPF..... WOW!!

    Hey Alex,
Maybe a official hello announcement from you might help? Or did you already do that and I missed it? I'm getting a lot of emails/questions about it myself.

    Couple small announcements:
    1. First two tournament games have been announced. Shadow and Tommy.
    2. Plaques have been ordered for best of show awards. Plaques are very nice I'm excited to see what comes to the show. Awards will be given out on Saturday. Best EM, Best 1970's SS, Best 1980's, Best 1990's, Best Modern and Best of Show.

Hey wait a minute Alex, what about "Best Booth"??

    Quoted from harmon1728:

I'm sure your mantel is already full of those!

Hardly. Vendors are always forgotten about unfortunately, not only at PATZ but every show it seems.

Thats why they put you in the back corner.

Yeah I know, I've been a bad boy all year......LOL.

    Hey Guys,
I'm in need of a set of nice Williams legs for a Taxi, they should be chrome 28 1/2" half ribbed. If you have anything you want to sell or trade them for let me know as I'll be at the Zoo show all three days.
    Thanks

Thanks but I already have a brand new set coming to me at PATZ.

I challenge another league to meet or equal the games we are taking.

Do they have to be working games?.......LOL.

    John

    #119 6 years ago
    Quoted from GravitaR:

Which league you play in John?

The "Let me bring as many games as I can to the show this year" league.

    Quoted from dhard:

What time is the semi showing up and will you need two

Not sure yet as the details are still up in the air. I hope to know more in a few days but this could be a really great auction this year.

    Quoted from dhard:

Did you talk SuAnn into the r.v
    I smell a retirement party

Actually now were talking about a tent, then that way I can pass the savings onto you guys.......LOL.

    Quoted from dhard:

Did you fall and bump your head

Yes 20 years ago but that's besides the point, probably why I'm so screwed up now.

    Hey guys,
I'm on the look out for a Funhouse, Banzai Run, Getaway HS2, T2, Elvis and possibly TAF. I've got cash at the show but let me know asap if you have anything available.
    Thanks
    John

    #131 6 years ago
    Quoted from zerbam:

john.....don't you already have all those games?.........besides i am looking for a funhouse

Correct. I'm trying to corner the market and drive prices up by hoarding as many as I can of each title. It's all part of my master plan.

    John

    #133 6 years ago
    Quoted from RCA1:

Trying? I'd say you're pretty much there.

Naw......only if I'd had kept all 620 machines in the last 21 years.

    Quoted from 64bsstp:

Better cover that trailer before the ice storm, John! Hope it's not too bad, I gotta get most of mine loaded tomorrow.

Yeah your right, I don't want anything to happen to my nice trailer.

    John

    #156 6 years ago

Loading up the truck and van on Wednesday night. The truck/trailer will have the big stuff but the van wont be at the show until SuAnn gets out of work and at the show around 6:00pm on Thursday. ALOT of stuff to bring as I keep digging deep in the closet archives. I don't want to take anything home so bring your cash.

    John

    #169 6 years ago
    Quoted from vdojaq:

John, anymore details on this? This could be a make or break it decision for me to close shop and come up on Saturday.
    Jack

    Hey Jack (everyone),
Last time I talked to the guy he was still wishy washy about bringing the games to the show/auction and wasn't sure he'd have the time....etc.
I've tried reaching out to him since but so far nothing. I'd say there is a 10% chance at this point that he's going to show. But things could change at any time but that's all I know as of now.

    John

    #192 6 years ago

Loading the truck as we speak. At 6pm I'll start loading the van as well.

    John

    #194 6 years ago
    Quoted from 64bsstp:

I'm loading tonight, too. And I've gotta pick up the speakers for the auction, John. Got a new wireless mic coming so we can turn you loose Sat at 3pm!

    Your awesome!!

    John

    #196 6 years ago

40+ backglasses loaded. Legs, boards, free stuff, games, cash boxes, aprons, .....
    This is only the truck.

    Aww.....
Watching John fight with the microphone is half the fun of the auction.

Naw we learned two years ago that the corded microphone was the way to go, but I'm willing to try this new one of Phil's

    John

    #200 6 years ago
    Quoted from 64bsstp:

Man, I'd be nervous sitting in that truck seat, John. Wouldn't want to lean back much.

Yeah I know, but I can't sell it if I don't bring it. Gotta try anyways. It'll be fine.

    John

    #203 6 years ago
    Quoted from Dayhuff:

Loading the truck as we speak. At 6pm I'll start loading the van as well.
    John

Van is loaded. Pictures to come. Unfortunately I just cant bring everything I'd like to bring. Even with the truck, trailer and the van, there is even more still sitting here.

    John

    #206 6 years ago
    Quoted from crlush:

Cant you load up Rons KIa?

LOL.....I'd be embarrassed to even be seen leaning on that thing.

Pictures as promised. Who wants dibs on the ladder?

Thanks for posting the results Marcus. I'll dig out the auction sheet a little later since I think you missed a few things, like the Lightning and Cleopatra glasses for sure but I think you got pretty much everything else.

    John

    #258 6 years ago

I think the Pacman game sold privately after the auction. We were very close to the reserve on it during the bidding so I think they worked it out among themselves.

The Cleopatra glass went for $10 and the Lightning glass for $25.

Thanks to Ron, Marcus, Matt, Phil and SuAnn for helping make the auction happen again for our 9th year of doing it. I'm looking forward to our 10 year milestone next year.

    John

    #279 6 years ago
    Quoted from Underspin:

My Blue Chip had 400+ plays on it as well, though it was in the Friday daily which accounted for most of it. The old girl held up though!.

FYI, someone on RGP is looking for you and your Blue Chip.

    Quoted from chad:

Anybody know where the Doctor Who cabinet went ?

Ask Chris Rock. I'm not sure if it was for Bob or somebody else?
