Just curious what team most of pinside wants to win the super bowl. Was going to post in the nfl thread but there would be no way to add a poll. I bet it will be a close one!

Don't care who wins as long as Lady Gaga suffers wardrobe malfunction during the halftime show.
+1

Quoted from jar155:Never the Patriots. That's all that really matters.
Quoted from Electrocute:I don't like the Patriots.
For so many years they had much talent, and still choose to cheat.
I root against them 100% of the time..
Matt Ryan (and others) looks pretty damm good. I think the Falcons can do it..
Quoted from o-din:I have heard Bud Light has a slight edge this year.
Their helmets are too much like the Patriots. I'm going with Bubweiser..

I'm going with Duff Dry. They looked good in the conference championship.

Come to think about it, Bud red reminds me of Atlanta.
This year we witness the rebirth of Bud Bowl!

Your tears are delicious btw.

That's not even American football anymore. Boo Bud!

I wish these commercials would come back or the frogs. I have watched them all on your tube but hard to find al,the years of Bud Bowl
Seahawks!!!
Well, now I would love to see the Falcons win. Matt is great this year and deserves his first Super Bowl win. Tom Brady and the rest of them have enough wins. I would love to see them get smoked!
Haha i love to see everyones responses. I knew most would want the falcons to win just because most people hate the pats.
In reality dallas, green bay, or the seahawks would have been a lot more interesting of a game. I honestly rooted for green bay just because i wanted a rematch of patriots v. gb from 1996. O well falcons are on a roll so even though i want the pats to win im still hopeing for a close game just for the entertainment value.
Grew up a Pats fan, still remember the 85 Super Bowl .. but man it is hard to cheer for them these days
Karma is a bitch, and eventually it will catch up with Brady and that coaching staff. Doesn't matter who wins, really, because the NFL has shown repeatedly that it's perfectly fine to use drugs, beat women, commit any number of various felonies, outright cheat your way to the top....you will still have a place in their organization as long as you bring in the cash.
They're scumbags...it's hilarious how their supporters turn a blind eye because the only thing that matters is that stats record. <insert poliitcal statement here> Karma will at least get Brady if none of the others, simply by virtue of him playing as long as his has. At some point his brain will be swiss cheese like many other players, and no amount of super bowl wins or money is going to fix THAT.
Slightly OT but there is a documentary coming out about the XFL (remember that ?) that has some great, even handed points about why it failed - but t goes into how the NFL benefited after calling it trashy; they basically stole half the production ideas for the following NFL season.
The most interesting thing to me was the hole in the marketplace which was why it was deemed feasible for the XFL at all - the NFL was changing a lot of rules to be more restrictive and people were walking away as it wasn't fun any more. Fascinating doc
Quoted from Mopar:For so many years they had much talent
It's funny you say that even Brady was #199 in the draft. The Pat's do not buy stars they find players no one wants and turn them into stars that then get hired away
Quoted from Mfsrc791:I bet it will be a close one!
In context, I take it "it" meant the poll, not the game.
Either way, so far the "want Falcons" responses are winning 73% to 27%, almost 3 to 1!
One thing's for sure, those who commented they want any team besides the Patriots or the Falcons to win, I hate to break it to ya, they won't!
Quoted from Mfsrc791:In reality dallas, green bay, or the seahawks would have been a lot more interesting of a game.
I don't know what the hell you're smoking, but GB would have lost by even more than they did to Falcons. Tom Brady against the worst cornerbacks in the league? You'd think you were back in the in the late 80s.
Seahawks were nothing...all talk and not much else. I mean I would have actually liked to watch their D fighting on the sideline as Brady lit them up repeatedly.
Dallas had the best chance out of them with a balanced attack...that one might have been good.

The only Patriots cheating i recall was filming signals from the wrong spot along the sidelines. Something a lot of teams did at the time. What other infractions are you referring to?

I don;t care if they cheated anyway...everyone cheats. Can't blame them if they did it better than everyone else.

No it meant a close football game.

Not that I'm going to be arsed to respond fully to this, because I have a hard time believing that you're serious, but even if I had absolutely no way to back up my claim, and you're admitting that they cheated once... how many free passes do you feel any given team or player deserves? We all know that the correct answer in the NFL is "as many as it takes to get them to the end of their career."
Quoted from TheLaw:I don;t care if they cheated anyway...everyone cheats. Can't blame them if they did it better than everyone else.
Well, you're right on at least one count. Everyone should cheat in the NFL, because there's little to no penalty (I'm really sure that the Pats organization is just shitting their pants trying to make ends meet after that hefty 1 million fine for Deflategate, right?) and it's not like the vast majority of fans seem to care for more than about 15 seconds after it happens, as seen above. Can't blame them? Er..okay...it's not like it's something that happened to them, like a rape victim. Just because the structure of the league and the fanbase makes it trivial to get caught doesn't mean that they still didn't make the choice to do it in the first place.

Oh he's serious...you can reference the "tuck rule" exchange we had in the NFL thread
You're trying way too hard to be a straight shooter here. Every single play there are multiple people cheating on both sides of the ball....that's kind of why they have all those guys in white & black stopping them from cheating.
70s steelers brought roids into the game, LT was cheating on drug tests in the 80s, 90s cowboys were jsut totally out of control, all of them cheating.
The game is not some holy endeavor. It's a board game owned and played by billionaires, whom hire a millionaire to try to catch them cheating.

Trivial? It was 1 million, a first round draft pick and losing their HOF quarterback for 1/4th of the season. The largest such penalty in NFL history. "Little to no penalty"? For letting a few pounds of air out of a football with no evidence except for the fact that footballs, like tires, lose air pressure in cold weather.
Probably the Falcons, but I am so familiar with the Pats that it is hard to not pull for them. I am a Bills fan and I am sick of hating on the Pats. They are so good, but I can't even hate them for that anymore. I am just impressed.

You remember the other team said the Pats could have won the deflategate game with a BEACHBALL. Brady has more talent and better work ethic than anyone B
elichek is a genius at shutting the other team down. You haters gotta hate.. GO PATS!!!

That's good, because the poll is a blowout! Trending even higher for the Falcons.

Whoa, hold on there. The Packers cornerbacks in the late 80's were much worse than now. 1988 4-12

Looks like you remember more of that cheating than you thought did?
Some Wilson Official NFL Duke Footballs lose air pressure in cold weather, and some don't..
If N.E. doesn't get access to the Falcons playbook: Falcons - 38 N.E. - 31
