I think anybody buying it would be best off keeping it in the box. It's only going to go up in value that way. If I was super rich I'd go for it .. heck .. if I was even somewhat rich I'd be going to the Chicago show.

Wow, are times that bad for pinball designers? That's quite a prize for a designer to be giving up. Did these companies even pay these guys?

Perhaps Lawlor invested the bulk of his money with Bernie Madoff. In all seriousness, I'm sure times are tough for most pinball designers. Heck, the only one currently working is John Borg.
I think he should at least autograph it when the guy picks it up. Wonder what serial number it is? 00001?
