Bought a HUO No Good Gofers with the intention of making a quick buck… it’s just too good. Can’t sell it. I’m now convinced NGG is Pat’s most criminally underrated game. Such great music, callouts, layout, theme, and unique ruleset. The gofers are just too much fun to smack around!

It is absolutely one of his best (Ignoring some bugs/code issues). The layout is fun, the shots feel good, callouts are great, and that hole in one is orgasmic.
Also, bud and buzz are extremely well done.

Happy re-retirement, Pat! You're the best!

I'm gonna grate people the wrong way with this I am sure, but IN MY OPINION, Pat's games mostly suck.
I never did like Twilight Zone. I wanted to, but it's just meh. But it is the closest to a game of his that I "like" kinda
Addams Family? ehhhhhhh shoot it a few times and you've seen it
    Monopoly, LOL like pop bumpers?
    Family Guy....Shrek, lol copy ever?
Dialed in? or so now we're adding screens to the playfield
TS4, don't even get me started with that giant video game screen IN A PINBALL MACHINE

I for one am glad he retired. We need fresh blood and new ideas in pinball.
Pinball DOES NOT NEED VIDEO GAME SCREENS IN PLACE OF MECHS. Byeeeeeeeeeeee

The only one I hate is Banzai Run due to the backbox being such a critical part of the scoring strategy. That's just not a pinball game to me. The rest of Banzai is great.
He put out over 17 games, there is bound to be a couple that any given person doesn't care for. But "mostly suck"? Weird.

    That's kind of his shtick.

I don’t believe anyone shares any of these opinions. Funhouse is one of the absolute best masterpieces under glass to ever exist.
And that’s not an opinion, but a fact.
While he may have some games that weren’t the biggest hits, he certainly made up for it with about a dozen or so that were absolute monster smash hits.
The only thing I can think of, is you might blow at pinball,
in which case, you’d do yourself good to stand in front of a Whirlwind and let it blow you right out of the hobby.

    Um.......
You're replying to a guy who quit Pinside a year ago. In a thread that's been dead since then.
Kinda late to say "Byeeeeeeeee" now.

    Thank you, professor.

Glad the thread got revived, I missed it a year ago. Lawlor really is the GOAT for me. Impossible to quantify, but unquestionably his pins have an emotional pull for me ... true pinball magic.

Necroing a thread to try and dunk on someone who won’t even see your reply is just the type of pinside insanity I keep coming back for. You beautiful bastards.
