I am having an issue with the sound on a Party Animal I can't seem to find a similar issue on the forum. Not all of the sounds are playing, The attract music plays a short 5-10 sec. When a new game is started the wolf doesn't howl and the background music doesn't play. There isn't any voices either, but when switches are hit the tom-tom drum sound is played. I reseated the sound roms. Bad Rom?
The Sound board flashes 6 times with the last flash extremely brief.
The fact that you get 6 flashes is good. No problem with the short last flash.
Ahead of the ROMs in probability is...
...fractured header pins either on the sound board or the MPU
...crappy female connections either on the sound board or the MPU
...poor connections at the ROM sockets
The Sounds Deluxe board is interesting with that big ole 68000 processor on it.
