Funny. I think a lot of computer guys has problems with sleep.
Try this; Go camping possibly with your dad. You live in Canada, so you should have some great landscape to hike in. Sleep in tent for a week, use your body and see if you still have problems sleeping.
From my experience I bet all the electronics and whatnot isn't helping with your sleep schedule, and if no family doctor wants to sign the paperwork, I think it may just be that you aren't as sick as you claim.
Once you have fixed your sleep schedule, you will stand stronger against your other issues.
